I am a genealogy buff, mostly of Celtic origin - Manx, Scottish, and Irish. I have found a great deal of family information on-line, and would like to pass on the kindness.|

|Barbara Armstrong Samuelson||RE: Jessie Sabina Lawrence Kennish|
I tried to request links for Jessie's parents, but it would not allow me to add them, saying that I already had one pending. It would be great if you could do that.
Hosea Ballou Lawrence is Memorial# 21975483.
Mary Sabina Curry Lawrence is Memorial# 21975508.
I got the marriage certificate info from Ancestry.com, so do I have the right to post that image? I believe Find A Grave and Ancestry have some sort of relationship, but I don't know the specifics of rights to publish images between them.
I'd be happy to email you the copy of the image I saved for myself, if you'd just like to see it for verification. Or let me know if you are sure of my right to post Ancestry images on Find A Grave.
Would you also be able to correct the "Daughter of Hosea Blue" at the beginning of Jessie's biographical information?

Oops, on the 1876 Missouri State Census, I neglected to specify that was for Township 63 of Holt Co., MO.

This is a long one! I hope it all comes through. If not, we may need to resort to email.

I submitted an edit for the person you have listed as Jessie Saybina Blue Kennish. According to your note, you have taken this information from her death certificate. Unfortunately, as with many death certificates, the information is not correct. Her given maiden name was Jessica Sabina Lawrence. The death certificate informant was close on her parents' names, but not quite quite accurate. Her father was Hosea Ballou Lawrence, and her mother's maiden name was Mary "Molly" Sabina Curry. If you like, I can send you the URL to my Ancestry family tree where you can see all of the citation sources for verification. Barbara Armstrong Samuelson

I would love to know which Mittowers are buried next to each other. It would help figure out their relationship. Laurine
|Jerry Abbott||RE: Duncan Family in Iowa|
We're dealing with the same line then. I know that Harvey Boyd was Joseph L Duncan's younger brother. My lady friend whom Im doing the tree for is a direct line descendant of Thomas DUNCAN and Elizabeth Brown from Scotland, through JT DuNCAN, JT DUNCAN Jr., Joseph L DUNCAN, Thomas Dixon DUNCAN, etc.. My problem is I have a LOT of empty holes and blank spaces in her tree, and sorting it out is frustrating.
There seems to be a plethora of information available, but somehow over the years it has been scrambled at times to almost unrecognizable mumbo jumbo. Teri and I would appreciate any help you could offer. My hope is to try and do as a complete Duncan lineage as possible before the good Lord decides its time to leave this rock.
Please feel free to email me at email@example.com. We will be happy to share what we have also.

Do you have any further information on the Duncans in Wayne County, Iowa? If so please drop me a line. Thank you.

I have now been thru the entire Oak Grove Cemetery and took photos of all of the grave stones. I have added all of the missing ones to FindAGrave. I only recall 2 that were illegible but some are missing.
I got 2 out of 3 for you so that's not too bad.

You might want to look at the other Hickman photos that I have added as well as other new names which were not on FindAGrave. I only walked thru about 1/3 of the cemetery today taking photos so there may be more in a few days.

Can I ask who told you that? And what index they were looking at? I have visited there and confirmed that the stone does not exist, but that is not uncommon in the old section. The librarian there believed that she is buried there.
I have a copy of an index that I got by visiting the library there. It was published in 1978 entitled "New Garden Friends Tombstone and Death Records of the Old Section" Compiled by Charles W Cummings and Pattie S Newlin.
She is listed on p. 19.
