August Schmutzler Photo
Thanks Daniel for the photo of the whole headstone of August and his sister Dorothy. It's interesting how she changed her name to Smithler as did her father; but on many of the census and other official records they used the German family name Schmutzler.

RE: Kate C Guilfoyle
Awesome! Would it be possible to check St. Patrick's in Jordan, too? I'm trying to straighten out my Guilfoyle and Cox family links?

Would people from Elbridge be buried there too?

RE: Kate C Guilfoyle
Dan - Well, at least their absence from Maple Grove is confirmed. Is Jordan Village Cemetery close by? I'll gladly add them to this site for a photo request if they are there. I want to make sure I list them properly.

Kate C Guilfoyle
Daniel - thanks so much for the picture of Kate's marker. I'm researching the Cox and Guilfoyle lines of my family. Did you happen to see a headstone/marker for a Thomas Cox (possible death before 1850 according to what I'm finding) and his wife, Betsey Staley Cox in Maple Grove Cemetery? I can't find Betsey after the 1860 compiled census for Jordan, NY. I'm assuming they died and are buried in Jordan or Elbridge, NY.
