When I retired in 2006 after 32 years as a public school music teacher, I began a part time job as Genealogy Librarian for Niobrara County Library. I do genealogy research, and add obituaries, gravestone pictures and birth records, as well as historical information to our website. Currently, we have over 7900 obituaries posted. We are diligent in obtaining permissions and crediting sources, and would appreciate the same|
consideration. If you should decide to republish the information you find here or on our website, please include our web address (http://www.niobraracountylibrary.org).

|Leslie M. Smith||Thank You|
Thank you so much for taking the picture of Alva and Maude's grave. He is the brother of my great grandfather, Charles L Smith, seventh of nine children. It was only about two weeks ago that we were able to determine who my great grandfather Charlie's father and mother were, so it has been a real pleasure to track down the other siblings and document where they are buried. A real labor of love. Thank you again for providing this picture, and helping us piece together our ancestry!
