Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I are both working on our families genealogy and travel the country looking for our ancestors. When we are fortunate enough to be in an area we will take pictures of tombstones and enter any info we can find here on Find a Grave.

Our family names are mainly Munday, Fairbanks, Bradbury, Waller, Gilbert, Morse and dozens and dozens of other names.

We do check against vitial records when available.

Please let me know if there are any corrections and I will fix as soon as possible.

Re: Harriet Eaton
I added all your info except I found the death date as Oct 6, 1912 figured you probably mistyped. Just to let you know when you get declined edit. I just don't want to accept it and then when you look at it think I changed it without telling you.

They were all in the same plot. I added edits for names and dates for what I could see on the stone. The person managing these memorials doesn't have any contact information though, not sure how active they are. ~Stephanie

# 102868004 - I've changed the place of death after finding her obit, which I've added to the memorial. SSDI does not give "place of death". I know her son, John "Jack" and wife Shirley. They were actually here last summer. He grew up in the Hand / Faulk counties. He is my source for Thelma's parent's burial place. So I've added them. Hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Barb Jones

RE: Horace Leland
Cyndy,

I have photos of the other sides of the monument on that Leland plot. As you saw, the surface is weather-aged and partially covered with lichens (wooded area). Among those interred there are Rebecca K(?) Leland, Eliza Leland, Solomon W. Leland, Jonathan Leland, Elizabeth, Alvan (?), Sophia, Julia. GPS for the monument is N42o 09.439', W071o 42.056'

Although the cemetery is named Dodge Cemetery it is located beside Leland Hill Road in Sutton, MA.

The Leland's were a prominent family in the east-central portion of the town starting in the 1720s (hence the family name on the road that passes through that area).

There are about 1 1/2 pages of genealogical information on the Sutton-based branch of the family in the History of Sutton, 1704 - 1876 (pages 684, 685 and 686). I do not know it the book is available on-line. If not, I can scan the pages and send to you.

Susan Guild
I received your message for the additional information on Susan. I have added the marriage date that you supplied. On the marriage documents, her maiden name is Gay with parents names of Edward ad Marcy Gay. This doesn't agree with the names of Daniel Guild and Esther Whiting that you sent me. I have decided to leave that information as is for now. If you can send me something that will show her parents as Daniel and Esther, please let me know.
