Stella Earl Carter Boedecker (1889 - 1982)
Find A Grave Memorial# 47183457
Hello Glenda,
Can you help me? I believe Stella linkage to Nathan Clinton "Nate" Cooper, Find A Grave Memorial# 28551732 is mistaken as she would have been five (5) years before her death at 92 or 93 years old. Thank you for your time.

Paul Daniel Reed
Although there is no stone for Paul, I meant to get a picture of the index showing where he was buried. I apologize for forgetting, and will hope to remember the next time I get to that cemetery.

Glenda,

May I use your photo of the headstone of my great-grandfather in the Allendale (IL) Cemetery, with credit of course. Yhanks.

Naomi Reed Memorial in Natoma Cemetery, Natoma, KS
Glenda,
I looked for the headstone of Naomi Reed in Natoma Cemetery, KS, on Monday in an attempt to satisfy your photo request. Her name is listd on the posted roster of interments for the cemetery and gives a precise location. Since I was to able to fulfill a request in the exact adjoining plot for a Roger Zeigler, I was quite certain where she is buried but there is no headstone in that location. I am sorry about that. I recommend you delete your request unless you can come up with other information.
Regards,
Mike Gilbertson (#47413631)

I'm not related to the Keckleys or the Tiptons. All my info is boxed right now - I'm moving back to Agra. I'll be happy to help with your research if you'll contact me in a month or so.

Margarette Fae Reed Laswell
Her husband, Howard, is my cousin. We both descend from the Petzold Line. Regarding the Laswells, I have sent updates to the contributor of their memorials no avail. I have since asked for a transfer but have heard nothing. The manager of their memorials' bio is a little sarcastic so I don't know what to think about the situation.

Photo Request
Since no email address is available for you, am posting this as a public message.

You are on record as having submitted one of 23 Find A Grave photo requests for gravestones located in the Winterset City Cemetery, Winterset, Madison, Iowa.

While investigating a single request I received, then finding multiple requests for that cemetery, and considering claiming them all, I learned about the complexity of that cemetery (there are over 11,000 graves), and the apparent difficulty in locating those grave sites due to poor documentation. I further learned that all of the gravestones in that cemetery have been photographed and documented by the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project (http://iowagravestones.org). The project clearly states their explicit copyright to the photos present. I did however contact them on behalf of each of you, regrading obtaining the rights to use the photos on your respective Find A Grave memorials. My request was declined, with a statement indicating rights were only granted to family members (see their statement below).

So, I would highly recommend (I am assuming each of your are family members) contacting the Iowa Gravestone Project and request the use of your specific gravestone photo or photos. I believe such a request will be granted. The Madison County project coordinator is:

JL (Judy) Wight
jwight@northlink.com

Good luck to each of you with your request.
And if granted, I assume you would then remove your photo request from the Find A Grave site.

Jeff A

PS. I did receive a comment from the cemetery groundskeeper, that one of the individuals (quiet recent death) for which a photo was requested was in fact buried in a different location (a last minute change, requested by the family). I regret I do not recall the name,
but if a recent burial is not present in the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project, additional research may be required.

Good Morning Jeff,

Yes, all of the headstones are already on the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project
website.

Thank you for asking, but we only give permission to use the photos to
family members. So your request to use 23 photos is not acceptable.

Our volunteers in Madison County have gone to a lot of trouble, not to
mention their time to make sure that every known headstone is photographed
and online and we also have volunteers that watch the cemeteries for
recently placed and / or headstone that have dates inscribed in order to
take new pictures with the full and complete information on them.

The only thing I can suggest is to refer the people to the Iowa Project
Website to view headstone photos of those they are requesting headstone
photos for. Keeping in mind that at every cemetery there are a certain
amount of burials that do not have a headstone to represent the person
buried there.

I am sorry to have to deny your request, but we take great pride in the
Madison County Gravestone Project and have spent innumerable hours and
energy to bring these images to our researchers.

Also, please note that I have printed out a copy of the current requests and
will keep it on file for future reviewing.

I am open for any further questions or issues concerning this request.

Sincerely,

Judy

RE: Keckleys in Agra Cemetery
I'm not related to the Keckleys. Information not listed on the tombstone is from "History of Agra Kansas (As It Was Told To Me)" by Leslye Hardman Womer. There's quite a bit about Olive Keckley Tipton in that book.
