I became interested in my family history back in high school (1980-1984, Deer Valley High School, Glendale AZ), When I discovered my family tree hand written in the family Bible. This tree showed that I was a direct decendant of John Lovejoy (1622-1690), son of Rowland "of England". John came to Massachusetts in 1638 ot the age of 16 abord the ship "Arabella" however I have learned through some research that it was the ship "Confidence" that he traveled on to the New World. Since High School I have lost all the information that I have gathered, and lost access to the Family Bible after my father, Kenneth Ellis Lovejoy passed away in 1998. My grandfather was Jesse Kingsbury Lovejoy (1883-1971), my great grandfather was Arthur Collins Lovejoy, and my great great grandfather was Dr James Collins Lovejoy (1819-1905). Beyond him, I must rediscover until I reach John Lovejoy again. While doing research one day, I stumbled upon Find a Grave. I typed in my great great gradfathers name, and to my suprise, I found a photo of him...The first one I have ever seen! I have his nose and eyes my friends tell me. About me? I was born June 15, 1966 in Fullerton California, and was raised in the Phoenix (AZ) area. I currently live in Euclid Minnesota with my wife Tiffany, and two step kids, Abigail and Demario. I am the Senior Pastor if Victory Christian Fellowship Int'l, and served as the President and Senior Pastor of Ambassador Ministries, Inc. in Phoenix Arizona from 1999-2007. I have a Ph.D. in Religion, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.

Lovejoys David, Are you related to the Lovejoys in Lincoln County Wv.? Some of the Lovejoys on the Civil War list you sent me a link to are related to us. Was just wondering. I just finished transcribing the Lovejoy Cemetery in Lincoln County with pics. As soon as i find some more obits i am going to put it online this winter. If you are related to some of those Lovejoys in the Civil War list then you will be interested in this Lovejoy cemetery. One of our Adkins went to Califorinia as a child and had never been back here. This summer he flew in and stayed with us for two weeks and i took him round to the cemeterys and showed him where his great grandparents, aunts uncles, etc were buried. So i never rule out a person by where they live. You can contact me by my regular email if you want. Angie Adkins
RE: James Collins Lovejoy David, I have sent a message to the e-mail address in your bio and hope that you get it. I believe I have a lot of information that you will be interested to have. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Lovejoy I found two additional Lovejoy markers just a couple of markers down the row. I took pictures and added memorial sites. You might like to check these out. I assume due to the close locations that they are relatives. Dale
