Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in South Carolina. My mother was born in Valparaiso, Nebraska. My father was born in Herrin, Illinois. I lived a good part of my childhood and early adulthood in Nebraska. I still have a large extended family in both Nebraska and Illinois.

I have been researching family (genealogy) for over 40 yrs. It is important to me that every one be remembered. I enjoy hearing from family who have information I can post, expanding our knowledge and sharing with others. You are welcome to copy/use any infomation I have posted.

I want to thank those of you who work so hard to post tombstones and records. I especially want to thank those of you who share your information as well as work along side others to get information complete and correct.

I encourage corrections and/or additions. Being only human, I make mistakes. I will be glad to hear from you.

RE: Joseph Robertson
I did not feel insulted; there was no need for you to apologize. Maybe the tone of my message sounded too blunt, but I was only trying to explain that I cannot make any changes to a memorial that I have transferred to someone else, and that you were asking for its removal but it is not a duplicate of the one you created for your Joseph.

As for the incorrect links, I also sent an Edit Request and if it is not addressed in 30 days, I can send it the "Edit" email address for Find A Grave and have them removed. Whatever links were added to that memorial were done after I relinquished control of it, and there is nothing we can do now except wait and see if it gets changed.

First of all, it is much easier if you send this type of request through the "Edit" tab so there is a link to the referenced memorial.

Second, I cannot delete it, as I transferred it to a relative.

Third, it is only the links that are wrong, and I didn't make them. If the incorrect links are removed, his memorial should be fine.

Fourth, the Joseph T. Robertson who is buried in Pacific Crest is not the same person. He was born 11/25/1878 and died in Los Angeles County on 4/1/1968.

I have send an Edit Request to the manager of his memorial, asking her to remove the links and add all of the date information.

Lastly, please not ask someone to "take down your site" until all the facts are determined. A simple check of cemetery records will usually uncover more information. With such a common name, there are bound to be many people with the same name and there will, on occasion, be confusion as to who is who.

RE: Relationship Information
I believe that, even though you've input the information, before it will be displayed the person who manages the memorial has to approve it. If you go to your profile page on Find A Grave you'll see a tab at the top for "edits" where you can see edits others have submitted for your approval (you don't necessarily get emails for these) and also edits that you have submitted for others to approve. I think this is an improvement as it's easier to just approve an edit than to make the edit yourself.

Relationship Information
I just noticed this myself and thought it might be useful information for you as well. If you have relationship information for a person you can now add it in yourself (instead of sending it for the person who manages the memorial to add). Just go to the "edit" tab at the top and it's under there. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the correction, It really helps when other lets us know of any mistakes. It could help the ones looking for them find them better, with the correct spelling. God bless, take care and keep safe and well.
