I like to read books and take long walks on the beach. Wait- scratch that. I like to photograph cemeteries and gravestones! That's the same, right?|
This is supposed to be a pay it forward project for me, because so many people have given of their time to help me with genealogy. But of course I am still finding myself the recipient of others service more often than anything. I love the concept of Find A Grave and am always amazed at how willing people are to photograph gravestones for complete strangers. If you ever need photographs from Denver, Colorado, please let me know!

I appreciate the kind words. How did you happen to find this cemetery? Denver is a great area. We spent some time in Golden 2 years ago and enjoyed hiking the mountain trails there. Another genealogist relative invited us there. Thanks, Dave Peck

Hi, I am Janice Fox, Local History Coordinator at Lake County Public Library. I noticed your post about the Old Leadville Cemetery. Most of the bodies had been moved to the Evergreen Cemetery when it was built. All of the Cemetery Records for Lake County are on our website
as well as city directories. We are attaching photographs of headstones to the cemetery records now. If I can be of any help please email me at

There were three other markers between the two that I photographed for you...
Ruth Elliot (1922-60)
Lothar (1904-69) and Ruth (1911-80) Kiesow
Tony Bruza Jr. (1945-84)
I took photos of them also while I was there. I will post them on the FindAGrave web site soon, but I thought you might like to know about them in case they were related to the ones you were interested in.
I would be happy to send you the large full-size photo files of the Dunigan & Phelps markers, if you would like to have them. Just send me your email address.
Happy Holidays, Karen

Have to get my database out of my old computer's hard drive to know for sure, so, when I get that back, I'll let you know. I vaguely remember a church record that verified a note from a relative. Again, will save your email and let you know.

Thanks for saying "Thanks"....! It's really nice to know that someone found some memorials i set up and entered pictures for. I'm so glad you like them. Looks like there were alot of Vosburghs in Alabama Cemetery. I also must have come across some from a few other cemeteries as well.......Maybe they're all related. (That would be interesting to know.).....I appreciated your writing because letters like yours inspire me to get myself at it again. It's nice to know that people benefit from this work.
