My Father died after a horrible accident; my youngest sister was 2 years old. I decided to find pictures of my Dad to copy and give to my siblings; from there I started the family tree. My son will never understand what I do, he has Downs; my daughter may someday find it interesting, so in that hope I go on tracing the family tree. I want them to know how proud I am of my heritage and what wonderful, positive people they were. For all the good, positive people who are on this site who give other people their family histories, I say Thank You!

Hi Debra,
I will have to investigate further. I was given some of the information. However, I don't have any parents listed for her. I will see what I can find!

I am not that far away, but this is a large cemetery. We need to determine if they are buried here by calling the office. I am sure they have a directory. My great grandmother was a TESKE and this person caught my eye. I haven't verified if she is related. Let me know and I would be happy to take photos for you. Delphine

I haven't been up to Minnesota recently - but I will be happy to snoop thru some cemetery records and see your clan is listed =)

Can't hurt, right?

More as it happens....stay tuned!

RE: memorial Sanden

You are most welcome. I prefer my memorials be taken care of by their family.

RE: Nels Nelson
I did find Midlang, Norway. Norwegians would adopt the last name of the city or farm they were from. I have found in my research that people from the same families would come over, and depending on when they landed in this country, would have different spellings of their last name. Some would keep the farm or city name, others would go with their last names and be spelled differently. Interesting there is no "datter, dotter, dottir" spellings for a last name! Does that help? If you already know this, I didnt mean to repeat it!
Let me know if I can help any further.
