After many weary months of suffering, Sam D. Williams died at his home in the Little Cowhouse community last Friday night March 19, and was laid to rest Saturday morning in the neighborhood cemetery. Rev. W. S. P McCullough, pastor of the Hamilton Methodist church conducting the burial service.
Sam D. Williams was born in Hunt Co. Texas November 30, 1875 and moved with his parrents Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Williams of the Cowhouse community , to Hamilton Co. twenty eight years ago. He was married to Miss Lou Durham, daughter of J. J. Durham in 1903 His widow and four children, Nettie, Joe, Louis and Viola with his parents survive him. Mr. Williams was a good neighbor, a devoted husband, and a kind and indulgent father and is deeply mourned by loved ones and a host of friends.
