Bio and Links
Bio Photo Regarding the memorials I set up for those not related to me, I have no desire to "build" my numbers. I will never be one of the top contributors. If I am the manager of a memorial in your family line (and not mine), I would be thrilled to turn over the management to you so you may create links, add personal data or a biography. Just let me know. Please know as well, if your relation is in a National Cemetery such as Willamette, and their memorial was imported from the US Veterans Affairs Office, just contact Find A Grave and ask to have your relation's memorial transferred to you for maintenance.

Additionally, the photos I take are in a higher resolution than the photos I post on Find A Grave. I keep these photos for about a month before I delete them. If you wish to have copies of these original digital images, please contact me and I will email them to you.

Genealogy is my obsession, and I have much to do as I am working on two family lines for myself and one for my husband, Glenn. If you are related or have information to exchange, please email me. I'd love to hear from you.

RE: Roy Smith Memorial in Santa Fe
You are very welcome. We are trying to have Wargraves International remove the misplaced duplicates, but it's a slow process working through the lists to identify them.

RE: Roy Smith Memorial in Santa Fe
There are MANY mistakes in duplicating vets buried in Tahoma & Willamette National Cemeteries into Santa Fe; we also wish we knew why so we could quit disappointing people like you. If you search the Nationwide Gravesite Locator: http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/

you will find that Roy Smith with matching dates is ONLY in Willamette National Cemetery. Sorry for all!

Wrong Cemetery: Marietta Tucker 38524686
Marietta Georgia "Etta" Hunter Tucker #38524686

Find a Grave has merged the memorial I had of Marietta Tucker at Ohio Cemetery with the one you have at White Oak Cemetery.

My memorial was correct but yours was earlier.

Marietta Tucker is buried in Ohio Cemetery according to her death certificate, the headstone that I took at Ohio Cemetery and her obituary, not in White Oak Cemetery, Pickering.

Sylvia Whaley had created a memorial based on someone's unverified list or made an error in which cemetery the burial was at.

Please change the cemetery location of the memorial.

My interest is in the accuracy of the information only and not the credit.

Thank you,

PL Greenlee

Laurel

I have a copy of the obituary for your great grandfather Johann "John" Kunde, from the Daily Northwestern in Oshkosh. If you don't already have a copy and want it please let me know. I can either add it as a photo to his memorial or email it to you. It does mention family members and you may be able to add some additional links.

RE: Sarah Emily Coy Clark in Oak Hill Cemetery
This must have been given to me as a "suggest a correction' by someone. I have no information on her maiden name in my files other than this entry.

It must have been a relative or relation of some degree for me to have accepted the suggestion.

RE: Coy Markers
Hi Laurel,

I took these photos a long time ago and forgot that I had not uploaded them. I connect to this bunch through the mother's side (Kaster) of the family.

RE: Gottlob Holaufer's
I wish I had gotten a better picture. I was visiting in MN from CA (I'm a first generation native, but both parents had MN roots.), and since my (third) cousin is the cemetery board secretary, I went to see him first. That way I knew where to look! It was about a half hour before sundown, and below freezing, to I had to shoot fast. The first picture was blurry - probably from shivering. But I was determined, since I wouldn't be back for awhile! Gottlob Holaufer's grave is to the rear of the cemetery, just left of the old road going into the cemetery. There used to be an arch over the road with the cemetery name on it, but it's at my cousin's to be widened. I started another site for the cemetery, not realizing they were the same, and being unable to drive by. The marker that is on the Zion Roscoe site is at the far edge of the new part, and it is relatively new, but it is the only marker on site now. I have responded, after visiting, to someone who thought they should be combined that indeed they should. Although the cemetery is closed to Roscoe, the address is Paynesville, and the old folks always considered both Zion cemetery and church to be in Paynesville. Next time I'm in MN, if it's not snowy, I'll try again, and I'll try to write down the inscription (in German). Have a good Christmas, whatever the climate is! John
