I have been working on my family genealogy for over 25 years. I discovered findagrave.com in mid 2009. I was so impressed with the helpful nature of people (photo requests, offers for obituary assistance etc.) that I feel a responsibility to give back to this community of volunteers.
I have fielded many requests to use the images that I have uploaded, so to make things simple, please feel free to copy and use any of the photos I've posted on findagrave.com. As far as I am concerned, the pictures I've taken and posted are now part of the public domain and can be used by anyone for any purpose. There is no desire on my part for ANY person who uses my photos to cite me in any way. I STRONGLY urge my fellow Contributors to do the same.
In the (likely) event of errors or omissions, once notified I will make every effort to make the correction within 24 hours and to acknowledge said correction.
As far as memorial transfers go, I WANT to transfer memorials to family members. This would be my preference. However, if you are not a family member but have additional pertinent information that you would like to add, just ask for the transfer and I will comply with your request. That being said, this is not a numbers game so let your conscience be your guide.
In closing, my heart felt thanks goes out to my fellow volunteers who have so generously and diligently worked to make this site such a valuable resource to the public.

Thank you Rick, for all the information about the two cemeteries. Honor was my grandmother and I know for a fact she died and is buried in CA. I went to her funeral & have been to visit her memorial there. Yes, I suppose someone once expected her to be buried with her husband but I suppose it was too expensive for my mother to send her back to NH. My aunt Sarah, my mom's first husband, and one of my sisters are all buried in close proximity to my grandmother too. Anyway, thank you for letting me know the correct cemetery John is buried in. And thank you for the headstone photo.

I see you claimed my photo request and I just found a note in some document my cousin sent me that indicates john was buried in the "St. Joseph Old Cemetery Fr. O'Leary (can't make out the next part it looks like Voalk) # 2531.

Could you please re-upload your photo on the duplicate to the original? Then delete the photo off the duplicate?
