Think Hendrick Sams is my 7th Great grandfather. When the children of Abigail Sams Barhart came to Kansas they brought with them a cousin named Delilah Oakes,I have a photo of her in a group photo says she was a cousin? Its a old tin type photo of Jacob Barnharts family.Taken about circa 1887. She appears to be around age 10? Was just wondering. Always looking for my roots. Thanks for your time Adam.Ron Asbury.

Thank you Adam for your help. You really could have left them in your care and I would have been fine with it. Just glad we are putting all the pieces together. Thank you for your help.

Could you contact me regarding Peter Sams. We both have a memorial for him and I would like to get them combined. I don't care who's name is on them as long as we get all the information on our family recorded correctly. Peter was buried in Weston Cemetery in Weston, Umatilla County, Oregon. I have photo's of him and his headstone. Would love to get these merged.

I recognize your last name as being a descendat of Henry and Abigail. I believe they had a daughter who married an Oakes. Could you tell me some more info on Hendrick? What does (defunct) mean in the memorial bp listing? Also, do you know if there is a source for the family info?

I have located his grave but there is no headstone but he is buried with Mary Kennedy i found this out by the cemetery's burial computer in the office. I have place the photo on his memorial.

I will try looking in the Spring once the snow melts. We are a little over 3 hours from Chicago and don' visit often, but when we do I will try to find them again for you.

I located Mary's grave. Could not find Patrick's, but there was quite a bit of snow on the ground so if it was a flat marker it may have been under the snow. I have submitted the photo of Mary's grave. I have more photos that I would be happy to e-mail you if you are interested.

Adam, my great great grandparents were Henry and Abigail Sams Barnhart. My great grandfather was Francis B Barnhart - I have been desperately looking for information about him as he seperated from my grandmother Lula Mae Asbury. My grandfather is John Willis Barnhart - married to Neva Lois Groom. It's when I get to Francis that I hit a road block. Would love to see a picture of him. I know he is buried in Old Mission Cemetery but mostly he remains a mystery to me. Any information you could give me would help so much. Thanks, Laura
