Are they any relation to the Dotys from around the southside of Chicago? I ask because there is a street named that in the south suburbs. Just curious. If you have other relatives in Silverbrook, there is a website, friends of silverbrook.org that is very helpful. Glad I could help a little bit.
You are very welcome.

I found Daniel and his father Jacob in Berkley County WV during the Revolutionary War. Jacob died there in 1778 listed as Woolam. The only service I could find for Daniel was paying a personal property supply tax. Still have not found any military service to go with the marker.

Thanks, that's what I have found also. Boo Hoo Hoo. I have written to the DAR that placed the marker but no luck, they had no record and did not know who placed the marker. I was just hoping that maybe you had finally found the clue. Thanks for replying.

Helen, I am a direct descendant of Daniel Ulam born 1754 and died 1821. Can you give me any additional info regarding his Rev. War Service.I would be very appreciative to learn where he served.

Can you tell me where I can see the previously unpublished list of militia men paroled by Cornwallis? We have a mystery concerning an Alexander Moffett Berryhill who supposedly fought at the battle of Guilford Court, was wounded in the head by a British Officer's sword and was in prison on board a British ship for two years. I can find no evidence that he was even a R.W. soldier, but he was an early settler of Greene Co. Ohio, there is a R.W. monument with his name on it and he is written up in two histories of Greene Co. as an R.W. vet. His cousin, Alexander Berryhill WAS an R.V. Vet and filed for a pension in N. Carolina where he first lived. He applied to have his pension transferred to Tenn. and then to Alabama when he moved there. Many researchers have wrongly attributed the pension to Alexander Moffett, but it belonged to his cousin, also, Alexander. I have been working on this project for months now and I'm hoping this list might provide some answers. Thank you and GOD bless,

Helen, Regarding your photo request for Hannah Paine Appleton b1627 d1656 at Old North Burying Ground, Ipswich MA.
I can find no record for her at this cemetery. Old Burying Ground is very well documented by the Ipswich Historical Commission, the town historian, and in the book Momento Mori. Although there are a number of Appletons, I can find no record for Hannah.
Regards, Lisa Sinatra
I'm wondering if anyone in your family has done a DNA test. I'm thinking we may be related through your Roberts line. Our Roberts were living in Bates/Vernon Counties in MO at the same time your John Roberts died and about the time Nelson was born there. We have not been able to find documentation to connect them. DNA might answer the question.
Do you know where Daniel Ulam was living during the Revolutionary Way and what his service was?
