RE: Beatrice Deckwa
It wasn't as easy as it looked. LOL

That strange gizmo in the marker (looks like some kind of round bracket) is actually an inverted brass vase. When I got to the marker the vase was turned up and had some artificial daffodils in it. While that looked nice, the vase cast a harsh shadow on the marker, which was going to yield a poor photo for your uses.

I removed the daffodils temporarily and inverted the vase to take the photo, but the sprinklers had partially filled the vase with water. The water dumped on the marker.

Fortunately, there was a cemetery worker nearby who had a rag on his golf cart that I could borrow. I wiped off the grave marker with the rag, so you can see the left side of the marker was still a little damp. I left the grave with the vase turned up and the daffodils back in place.

I swear, some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed! LOL

Oscar and Nancy Dykes, East Fork Cemetery
We looked for Oscar and Nancy Dykes In East Fork Cemetery today.
We could not find them. This does not mean that they aren't there: there are some pieces of stone under an old magnolia tree that could be face-down tombstones. Perhaps a younger, stronger searcher will have better luck.

George Gatus Fox, 104696402
Hi, I am interested in the link of James as father to George. I see you have posted information of his parents and wondered if you could share where you obtained this info as I am related to James Fox and do not have any family history to link George to him as his son.
THANK you for any info,
Martie
