Hi Bill,
I was wondering if you were a relative of Alverta's.
I just found out that she would be my great great grandmother.
Hope hear from you soon.

Betty Miller Doke

Hi Bill,
I have been researching my ancestors, the family of Thomas Jefferson Doke. I appreciate your work at the Davis Chapel Cemetery in Dearborn, Missouri so my research can move forward. I have ran into a problem. The infant, Betty Miller Doke has 2 burial sites and 2 different records. The first record is from the Madisonville, Missouri cemetery with her father as Frederick and Mary Doke from The second record is your record and has her parents as Thomas Jefferson and Martha Hall Doke. There is a combined monument for her and other deceased Doke children in the Davis Chapel Cemetery in Dearborn, Missouri. Both listed fathers are brothers and both lived in Ralls County, Missouri when this child was born. The birth and death dates are the same although the cemetery in Dearborn gives complete dates.

So, I am trying to discover which brother is the real father of Betty Miller Doke. Any information you would have from the cemetery or cemetery records would be so helpful.

Thank you in advance.

Same birth and death dates, same spouse name of Helen E. Do you know if there was a re-interment for this couple?

I have found a marriage record for this couple on 5 Sep 1865, but in Bowling Green (Warren County), KY, not in Platte County.

Cornelia Mitchell
I met you in MO a few years ago researching Newman and Mitchell.
Sorry that you couldn't find a grave marker for Cornelia....does the cemetery know where she is buried. What would be a cost of a small marker with just hew name?
We are having a Mitchell reunion in Lewistown, MT in 2 weeks.
Glad to meet up with you again. Thanks for all you do. Carma (Mitchell) Gilligan

Ridgely Cemetery
I need help with my mom's side of the family. My 4th great grandparents were John Hulse and Mary Malone Ellington, I believe they died in Clay Co, Mo and were buried in Paradise Cemetery.

However Mary Malone Ellington two brothers are buried in Ridgely Cemetery and its believe there mother Mary Malone(Dupuy)Ellington is buried there too around 1850. Is there only records of the cemetery to try and find her.

Wilfred Laverne Rardin, Was the son of Gaugh Raymon Rardin and Flora A. Tawney. They both passed away in Oregon.

He has 2 other brothers for which one is also buried in Weston, Louis R. Rardin, Graceland Cemetery Find A Grave# 64679083.

Jack L. Rardin also died in Douglas, Oregon.

Until I find my grandfather's parents burial in Oregon this is the best there is. So could you please post that above information with his post?

Levi Cline
I found my ancestor Levi Cline, Washington, Kitsap County. You have added a picture to the entry. It is not clear who the picture is. Can you help me figure it out? I have a picture of Levi and Ruth Cline. It is hard to tell if your picture and mine are of the same person. Thank you for your good work.

RE: John Green, Dearborn Community Cemetery
Dear Mr. Bill Foster,
According to the letters of John Green, he had (at least) 4 children with Mary: Maria (d)(born 15/6/1893), Albert (s) (born 23/2/1895), Josia (d) (born ??/9/1896), name unknown (s) (born 1/6/1901). As you may appreciate , I can email scans of the original letters to you. In order to find out if this John Green is the brother of mine great grandfather. Yours sincerely.
