RE: Edward Fletcher
I am not surprised that you said that Rice is in your family line. There are a lot of Rice in it. This woman probably kept articles that were mostly her family. I have many other people asking me about people in it. The most prominent names in it so far is Peterson. I would suggest you watch the local Waupaca graves on Find A Grave as I am going through this until I complete it. I am taking names even from the funeral attendance and researching them. You might make a list of names that you are the most curious about. I did have a treat a couple of days ago. About a year ago, I bought two victorian photo albums from Waupaca by the last name of Looker and there in one of the obituaries was Looker sending flowers. I just looked at the size of Waupaca and with this being so large of a scrapbook, she must have documented almost everyone in the town. This weighs over 7 lbs and goes to my ankles when I sit down and not a inch of space is wasted. She wasted no space at all. One other thing is I am trying to figure out who the person is that is written in the front. It originally started with a person named Preantis Carroll. I can find nothing on him or her. It is a relative of this Rice woman.

I sent you a edit about his death date. Did you notice the date on his headstone? It is different from the memorial

RE: Edward Fletcher
I did notice that you were a Fletcher and I hope everyone realizes what a gold nugget is here. I am documenting almost everyone in it. It is massive. I am not even a third of the way through this. It was created by a woman named Rice but I can not figure out who she is. I think she may have died in the 1920s since the articles seem to stop about that time. She stated in the front of this book that she was concerned about who would get it. Her first desire was that family would get it but she wanted only those who would love it, to get it. This is my baby for sure. She would have never guessed that a lady in Texas is nurturing the contents and making sure that the people in it are remembered forever. This was turned down by the Historical society and museum. Can you believe that?

Samuel and Emily Rogers

Thank you so much for the photographs of this headstone. They have been on my short request list for a very long time. This is direct family (brother and sister-in-law) of my great-great grandfather, so it means a lot to me to have definite confirmation of their final resting place. My maiden name is Rogers. Thank you again for your time and effort on my behalf. I truly appreciate it.
