You have added on Find a Grave that Samuel served in the Confederate Army do you know what Company and unit he was with. Trying to help his descendant possible join the U. D. C.

I can try to get you some of my husband's genealogy but I don't have much. I will talk to his mom this weekend. Yes I am on ancestry.com. I believe your father and my husband's mom would be first cousins

If you are on ancestry can you still look at member's trees? My trees should be there when you search your Henry James Funnell. Although it sometimes takes a week to show up.
Anyway must go to bed.... I was not meant to sidetrack so much. Have worked out the Funnell branches to about 1790 ish.
Sleep well

Henry and Alfred Funnell are brothers and of Henry James Funnell and Martha Coles, but somehow I have Henry James as son of Charles Funnell and Sarah Ann Brotherhood.... Did I go wrong?

RE: Hythe disaster
Ok Have now updated the funnell names on all memorials. By the way your George 1888 is actually Edwin George Funnell who died in 1975, married in 1914 - Have a look on ancestry. I have updated him too.
All the best
