Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started working on my genealogy as a teenager. I had my parents drive me to cemeteries all over Wisconsin. I got my husband interested in his genealogy and now we spend our summer vacations visiting cemeteries all over North America, much to the chagrin of our children.

RE: Bethesda Cemetery, Noble Co., Ohio
Hello June - we're not aware of any relatives, but with Bates in my husband's family, it's always a possibility.

Your photo of the cemetery is so plush, definitely different than mine, as I probably took it last month (December). I like looking in late Fall or early Spring, before the foliage begins covering things up.

Eliot cousins
Believe we are 4th cousins ... Luke & Betsey Eliot were my G-G-G-grandparents. My line is through daughter Lucretia (believe yours is through daughter Eliza).

It looks like Eliza and Calvin Elliott migrated to Iowa. Lucretia & husband George Clough migrated to southeast Minnesota right after the Civil War (about 100 miles north of Iowa Falls) and many of my ancestors can be found in that area.

Must be an interesting story of how Calvin Elliott, Jr ended up in Wisconsin.

Really appreciate your ancestor photos (also the headstone shots for Andrew & Jane Eliot in Decatur, NY).

LASHLEY - Bethesda Cem
The book that I transcribed Margaret Ann and Richard ALLENDER's gravestone records from only lists the two of them. The cemetery is listed as Wills Creek Cemetery in Marion Township, which someone (maybe you) told me was actually Bethesda Cemetery and asked me to correct it. Margaret LASHLEY is listed as (101 yrs) 1720-1831. There are no other LASHLEYs listed in this cemetery, and Margaret is the oldest person of the 25 transcribed records.

Book = Noble County Cemeteries compiled by Nola R. Eynon found in the Cambridge, Ohio library.

Cash Photos - Upper Wegee
June, thank you SO much for the photos you've took. I've had those photo requests up for what seems like forever and had given up hope of them ever been photographed. It makes me all the more grateful for you trekking out there!

Thanks again!

Catherine Leigh
Dear June, You have given me the FIRST tangible evidence of a person I searched and searched for. I thank you so VERY much! If you are ever in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Trescott, Maine...and you are near this gravesite, I wonder if you could somehow figure out what year in the 1800s that she died. I am brand new to Find A Grave, and am not sure if this is how I should communicate with you. Again thanks. Grave of Catherine, wife of James Leigh, died Feb. 12, 18?? (#75071764)

Anna Homrighausen
I have a question about Anna Homrighausen Homrighausen's death dates (48251740). Another findagrave researcher has a record (85241375) that I believe could also be Anna, but with a slightly later DOD. If you have time, could you compare them and tell me what your thoughts are. Can you share your source on her records so I can add them to my own. Thanks.

RE: Thanks for the pictures!
You are welcome. I took pictures and posted them for three Elliotts that were beside your great-great grandparents. Are they any relation? Eda Holmes Elliott (1868-1964)
George Delbert Elliott (1866-1918)
Corp. C. Merle Elliott (1898-1918)
