I have lived in central Iowa all my life and always had an interest in the history of my family. However, I did not actively start researching until 2000. At that time I was employed but always knew genealogy could be a full-time job if only that were possible. The pay wouldn't be much but the satisfaction and joy would be tremendous! Now that I am retired, I am finding that I was right -- family history is now my full-time job and I'm loving it!|
My husband (another Find A Grave contributor -- Daniel Brandt) and I enjoy our annual summer trips around the country in the never-ending search for our ancestors. It's great having a knowledgeable researcher assist me when we are in a location where my ancestors lived and I in turn help him when we are looking for his ancestors.
I am also blessed to be living in the very county where my ancestors settled back in 1854. The courthouse is less than 5 miles away and there are over 150 years of records to check out right in my "backyard."
I love Find A Grave and have made several contacts with "new" relatives because of it. I have no problem transferring memorials I have added IF THEY ARE NOT MY ANCESTORS. You will find that most of my contributions to this website, however, are people in my family tree. I truly appreciate when other contributors are willing to transfer memorials for my family members to me.

I would like to help you with you headstone requests for ROSE HILL cemetery here in OKLAHOMA CITY but the cemetery not very helpful nor do they have good maintenance or grave markers to tell you where your at. I went to ask them if someone was buried here and they said it would cost me 5$ for that info. that their services is for family only and they had to call in to get the info. when i asked for maps of the cemetery so i can find where things are they said tell the family to request the map for the info on which they are inquiring. There phone number is 405-843-5771 or fax number 405-843-5754.
THANKS FOR TAKING THE PIX OF SARAH'S GRAVE.

You are welcome. I'm glad I could help. I live only a few miles from there. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Glad to be of assistance! I went back with a couple of friends this weekend, and we found Mary Piggott who died 1855 (Jesse's mother, I guess?), and her photo just got posted. We also found "Mary wife of Jesse Piggott," so her photo will be posted shortly. -Twyla Jackino

Donna, thank you so much for your photo of the grave site for Burton and Elizabeth Eno. They are my Great Grandparents from my birth father. I have struggled to get their information and this is just the link I needed.
