Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I both enjoy doing genealogy. We live in Tn and are very proud of our southern roots. Our family made a living by being miners, farmers, loggers, owners of small country grocery stores, and God blessed them with a few preachers added in here and there. They were from Bell County Kentucky, Anderson County Tn, Claiborne County Tn, Sevierville Tn, etc., Some of the family names we research are Browning, Demarcus, Evans, Fuson, Gibson, Hodge, Jenkins, Lee, Low/Lowe, Mason, Miracle, Partin, Phillips, Russell, White.

same ancestor
Hi Sharon. My name is Kristine Conners and I have just started researching my family tree on my paternal grandmother's side of the family. Mary King and Robert Mason were my 6x great grandparents. I think my lineage to them goes as follows:

Mary King and Robert Mason
son James K Mason
daughter Charlotte Mason Barker
son George W Barker
daughter Phoebe Barker Hayes
daughter Mary L Hayes Conners
son Kent L Conners
daughter Kristine G Conners

I could be missing a step in there, but I think that is right. At any rate, it is fun to connect with cousins from the past, so I thought I'd drop you a note. If you have more information, I'd love to hear it. My email is

RE: Hi Sharon,
Hi Sharon, Powells Valley is beautiful, riding up Highway 63 in the fall is breath taking. The Evans brothers worked with my brothers in construction for a while. I well remember when Linda & Dorothy got killed It was tragic. I remember the poteets also, I assume you mean the family of Grover, a minister. Yes, it's good to run into old friends. I don't have the 4 wheel anymore, traded it in on a rocking chair. {funny!!}Take care...Jean...
