When you photographed gravestones at this cemetery in 2014 (#136551503, #136551712, etc.), did you see a headstone there for "Dr. Jack" Johnston (#117103447)? I have family letters that say the headstone to be placed on Dr. Jack's grave was found almost a hundred years later in the 1960s by a relative under the home of Dr. Jack's brother Robert B. Johnston (#11393572). The family at that time planned to have it placed at Johnston-Dunn Cemetery but we don't know if that ever occurred.
Also, family letters state that Dr. Jack's wife, Willie Ann Mitchell Johnson (1834- ca. 1903) was buried beside her husband at Johnston-Dunn. One of the letters was from the granddtr. she was living with in Corsicana at the time of her death about 1903. However, we have found no official record confirming this. I'm assuming that Willie Ann is in an unmarked grave there and wonder if you noticed any area at the cemetery where there might have been such a grave.
Thanks for any light you might shed on this mystery.
Robert Patton Beene #58604163 Thank you for the transfer and linking. We have all but one of the 12 Beene children linked to their parents. We will try to link him to his wife and children. Thanks again Don Kirk
Antioch Cemetery, Navarro Co. Morning Dan, I failed to thank U for the location of the cemetery that was provided, so thanks, much appreciated. Given the entrance being so obivous and marked, I can't explain that one. For whatever reason I "assumed" that it was tucked away on private property. Appreciate your time and info. Later, James Coston
Esther Blumrosen Dan, after looking closer at her birthdate on the stone I am thinking it looks more like 1863 than 1893 - Take a look - I also deleted Rebecca Bloomrosen in preference to your Rebecca Blumrosen. Her parents would also be Jacob and Esther
Esther Blumrosen I will delete Esther Bloomrosen - I see the date of her birth on the stone, however all records point to her being the widow of Jacob and the mother of Moses and Mable. Not really likely she was born the year her husband died and after her two children were born.
Roy Henderson Thank you so very much for the photo of Roy Henderson! Now I am mystified as to why he is buried in such a faraway place from the rest of his family. I appreciate your time and photos and I will surely put them to good use. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for contributing to Find A Grave. I am very excited about having a copy of Anderson and Rena Drake's tombstone. Anderson Drake was my great-great-grandmother's son and there is now no doubt about his and Rena's exact birth and death. People like you make Ancestry research worthwhile.
