John, I saw the picture you took of Isaac Elledge's stone in Elledge-Holley cemetery. I have a similar picture of that stone taken about 30 years ago. Just to the right of it was a smaller stone, largely illegible, which seems to say Elizabeth Elledge. That stone is not in your picture. Any idea where it is? What might have happened to it? I believe it is Isaac's mother who died 1861, but someone has stated on Findaagrave that the Elizabeth Elledge who died that date is a much younger person -- but no info provided.
Can you help?

Many thanks,

I don't remember. The Elledge's are pretty far removed from my family tree, so........

Sibby McDonald
Are you related to Sibby? I have been trying to
find info on one of her daughters - Matilda McDonald
(my Mother's GGGrandmother).

RE: Elizabeth Elledge
Sorry, Maureen, but I know nothing of this person other than that he is the father-in-law of my 2nd great grand uncle. I ran across this photo which was of better detail than the other one and posted it to findagrave.

RE: Delia Donnelly Meyer
Hi Maureen,

Regarding Christian Meyer, I took another look around the area where Delia Meyer is buried and I did not see a marker for Christian. There is an unmarked grave to the left of Delia Though. Due to being a Find a Grave volunteer, I am not really very welcome at the cemetery office. I've worn out my welcome years ago, and I try and refrain from asking for plot locations. Have you ever tried the grave locator service the cemetery offers?

Try it if you get a response, forward the info to me and I'll take the photo for you!

RE: Katherine Weiss
George Weiss is not mentioned anywhere on the monument. In addition to the names that are visible on the front face (I think it's the north face), there are these others. On the east face these names: Frank J Weiss; Anna Weiss; Maria Weiss; Bertha Weiss and Marge B Lyons.

On the west face these names: William Bauer; Anna Bauer and William G Lyons.

And Holy Sep doesn't just frown on photography they prohibit it. I just went easy on them in my bio. I've been caught once and thrown out. But I can't stay away.

RE: Katherine Weiss
You're very welcome. There are quite a few people buried in that plot. There are names on 3 sides of the monument.

I copied from a cemetery book that was read back in the early 70's. I am assuming since they say no stone, they got it from records. I do notice there is a Mary B Scott also. could this be them, recognize any of the kids??

Hi Maureen, you're very welcome! I must admit I usually scan the immediate area to look for relatives, but today I was kind of in a hurry. So I might have missed Christian. But on the bright side, I visit Calvary very frequently so I'll take another look next time I'm there!
