I am having great difficulty reading the text on the headstone you have kindly photographed. Would it be possible for you to transcribe it for me.
Many thanks.

Leonard Parsons
Oops, think I misread the age on Leonard; but still want to know anything about any Parsons.

Parents - Harry and Beatrice May
Children - Elizabeth, Stanley, Leonard, Herbert and I think Norman.

Leonard Parsons
Trying to locate information on Harry and Beatrice May (Ross) Parsons. They lived in London and had a daughter, Elizabeth born 1902, and 4 sons. Leonard was one of the sons born after 1902. Given age at death and middle name of Harry, wonder if this Leonard is one of my grandmother's brothers.

RE: Robert Pate
Thanks Terri - much appreciated.

Are you able to read what is on the stone? It could just be a religious text - or something interesting!
I've tried magnifying but no good as decyphering!

Yes if anyone is interesting and they Google 'Robert Pate' there is heaps online - you can even read the 1850s court case at Old Bailey online.

Find A Grave Memorial# 43505209

Thanks for the lovely picture of the grave.

Did you know Robert Pate was the one who attacked Queen Victoria in 1850 and was transported to Tasmania for 7 years?

Anyway when he came back he was wealthy - possibly after his father's death - as he was living on his own means in the 1881 and 91 censuses!

Do you mind if I use the picture in my family tree (with credit)? I can't see any copyright info - am new to this site.
