RE: Deloss Perkins
Julie,

"City" Cemetery to my knowledge would be Lakeside, but I see no Leroy under the Perkins surname. It could be that he was buried in an unmarked grave or he could have been moved to another cemetery. The site I use does not have searching ability to search the entire database for a name; it's by cemetery only, so it's sort of like looking for a needle in a stack of needles at this point. There are no other city cemeteries in the town of Waupaca that I know of. Unless something was missing before the Cemetery part in the death record...

This is a listing of the rest of the Perkins in the cemetery by lot number and lot owner's name:

It kind of skews it on my screen, but hopefully it's still readable. In any case, it gives you an indication that Tully, Adelia, Stevie & H.J. are all buried in the same lot, Mary & John are buried in the same lot, and the other three (including Deloss) are in different lots. Deloss' plot owner is a Mary Drake, but the Ida Perkins is also owned by H.J. There are also three spaces in between H.J. & the others on that lot - perhaps those are unmarked graves?
Deceased Name Owner's Name Lot Number Space Number Birth Year Death Year
PERKINS, MARY PERKINS, J.B. & MARY 173-O 8.0 1847 1913
PERKINS, JOHN PERKINS, J.B. & MARY 173-O 7.0 1845 1909
PERKINS, IDA PERKINS, H.J. 120-O 1.0 1855 1863
PERKINS, DELOSS DRAKE, MARY 60-O 1.0 1849 1865
PERKINS, SUSAN PERKINS, LINAL 55-O 14.0 1807 1863

From what I can see, H.J. is Harvey J. Perkins, was married to Adelia and he was born in New York

At one point, he was also married to a Caroline, as shown by the 1860 census:
Name: Harvey J Perkins
Age in 1860: 31
Birth Year: abt 1829
Birthplace: New York
Home in 1860: Lind, Waupaca, Wisconsin
Gender: Male
Post Office: Lind
Harvey J Perkins 31
Caroline Perkins 39
Romulus T K Perkins 9
Ida Perkins 5

RE: Deloss Perkins
Julie,

Lakeside Cemetery is one (if not the) largest in Waupaca County. It's right in the city; it is not a rural cemetery by any means.

I know that there are other Waupaca cemeteries that have not yet been updated on FindAGrave. There are many smaller rural cemeteries that are missing many people. In time I'll get them up, but there's always a lot to do. :)

These are the Perkins in Lakeside:
Perkins, Adelia 103002418
b. 1855 d. 1925
Perkins, Deloss 103002419
b. 1849 d. 1865
Perkins, H J 103002420
b. 1829 d. 1912
Perkins, Ida 103002421
b. 1855 d. 1863
Perkins, John B 103002422
b. 1845 d. 1909
Perkins, Mary 103002423
b. 1847 d. 1913
Perkins, Stevie 103002424
b. 1879 d. 1881
Perkins, Susan 103002425
b. 1807 d. 1863
Perkins, Tully 103002426
b. 1851 d. 1886

As of the moment, I can find no Leroy in Waupaca County. Do you know where they lived? In what township? I might be able to find them that way.

George Vogelsang's parents
It appears that I missed them when I was taking photos. In the Hillsdale Burial Book Peter Vogelsang is listed born Nov 6, 1822, died Aug 29, 1897. His wife Elizabeth born Feb 18 1829, died Oct 9, 1908. Hope this helps.

Agnes (Hodgson) Marsh
Thank you for the update on Agnes's memorial. Sorry I didn't see it until just now. I've corrected the maiden name and also added her marriage to Cyrus.

RE: Port Gibson Cemetery
Hi Julie,

I just added records in Port Gibson Cemetery for Curtis & Teachout, including Rachel. There are cemetery transcripts on the USGenweb.org site for Ontario County, NY. It seems that Port Gibson & Port Gibson/Pleasant View cemeteries are the same.

Hope this helps,

Karen
