Thank you for your kind words. I am currently traveling, hence the delay in getting back to you. When I return home, I will edit with the additional information you have provided. My husband is also related to the Harlows. That Lane County pioneer dating pool was rather small, so I found that pretty much everyone north of the Willamette River is related in some way to another pioneer family. The Eugene streets named after pioneers often seem to be more of a family tree chart at times. LOL. Thanks again. ~ Jan

RE: Pictures on the memorials
So nice to meet you! I should have finished reading my messages before thanking you for sponsoring the memorials.

And thanks for letting me know how we are related. I really never got to know you Mom... I was by far the youngest cousin. Later I got to know Bud and Margaret, and really wished I had known them all my life.

In case you aren't sure how I'm related, I'm the daughter of George, Lafe's younger brother. I used to love to go to Uncle Lafe's farm when I was a kid. And Aunt Florence was always really welcoming.

Salter Memorials
Thank you for sponsoring the memorials for Florence and Lafe Salter. Are you related to the family?

RE: Masonic Cemetery
Hi Maria - No problemo. No big rush moving them. You are probably safe for a couple of weeks. The cemetery fix-it forum is backed up with 100s of fixes. If you need instructions on how to move them without starting over from scratch, let me know.

Yes, for many years there has been confusion. The death certificates do not help. They often times list each section of Concordia as a separate cemetery because it is so large. I was also confused at first. Until I saw all of the cemetery ledgers which list the Masonic section as part of Concordia. The maps for Concordia also list the Masonic section as part of Concordia.

You are not the first person to create a "Masonic Cemetery". When I cleaned up the county listings three years ago there were 3 of them. All of the cemeteries that are listed there now, is all there is in this county with the exception of St Clement which was just created today by someone and will also be removed. I still need to check the Anthony Cemetery. There is one in Anthony, NM, but I am not sure about one in Anthony, TX which is supposed to be by the prison out there.

Just let me know if you need help. -- Thank you -- Laurel

Masonic Cemetery
Hello -- You have created a new cemetery in El Paso County which does not exist as a separate entity. The Masonic Section is part of Concordia and is not a separate cemetery. Please move the memorials you have created to Concordia. In the plot portion of each memorial, place Masonic Section.

Yes, I know that some death certificates may say "Masonic Cemetery" but that was done to separate it from the Black, Chinese, County, City, Jesuit, Mormon, Black Masonic, Mexican Catholic, American Catholic, French, or Protestant sections which are all part of Concordia along with the Masonic Section.

Administration will be deleting the cemetery you created in a couple of weeks or so and it helps them if the memorials have been moved to the correct cemetery before then. Thank you for your assistance.

Capt. John Bowne

Thanks for pointing out the typographical error in my John Bowne bio---the omission of the word HALF, as in "for more than HALF a century".
