|PLEASE, CONTACT ME VIA THE EDIT TAB on the memorial with any corrections, additional information or transfers. |
Transfers: Please USE THE EDIT TAB FROM EACH family member's memorial. Although I do not strictly stick to the Find A Grave recommendations, please do not request large groups of transfers. If you want to "gather" all your family member's memorials, creating a virtual cemetery for them is a great way to do so. Otherwise, I am happy when a person's memorial is "found" and is tended by family.
You may certainly use my monument, and other pictures for your PERSONAL PRIVATE family profiles. We are finding our pictures on Ancestry without source, and not linked, which is illegal. IF YOU CANNOT PROPERLY SOURCE OTHER'S MATERIAL, DO NOT USE IT!!!
Happy hunting!! Alaine B

Thank you again for the prompt reply.
I really do not know what you mean by the suggestion of transfer? I fully and with good intention appreciate all the work that volunteers do. And I do not know what a proper response is in this case.
Eunice Barens, nee Allen is the daughter of Zachariah Allen. I can show that family tree from roots web if needed and it would make send that it is.
In addition, the Iowa genweb headstone project states Eunice Barnes is buried in that Bangor Friends cemetary. I am wondering if you know the person who supervises that site locally. And if there is possibility to match their plot location with the one at the site?
As I mentioned, Eunice's page states wife of J B Armes which I am thinking that B Arnes is an apparent oops when the headstones are in the , a friends cemetery and they were all Quakers.
there are no other Armes there?
It would be helpful to know if the two tombstones are nearby, in the same grave, on the same tombstone etc. Which is why I sent a request for a photo.
I respectfully follow your advice.
Thank you again,

Hello, And Thank you for the prompt response. I thought I should have tied together the inquiry about Jason Barnes with Eunice B Armes. The maker entry for Jason Barnes is wife of Eunice. In the iowa gen web head stone project from the 1930's they register both Eunice Barnes and Jacob Barnes in the Barnes Cemetery there. The date of birth and death match Jacob Barnes. Eunice Barnes nee allen was the daughter of Zachariah Allen and family who is also buried there. i am all but certain that these are the incorrectly recorded makers of my Great Grandparents. What do you suggest? I sent a request for photos of the headstones. i am guessing the person who does that will get that done in good time and weather considered both for personal safety and possible snow over the headstone?
Thank you and hopefully there is more to do.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not really related either. But I thought that the information might help someone else in their family research.
First, thank you so much for your contributions to Find A Grave. I and many others appreciate all the time and effort you put into creating the memorials.
I am interested in William Bates who died in 1884 in Iowa. Apparently, his parents were James [1783-1874] and Charity Haworth Bates. I am trying desperately and unsuccessfully to learn who James' parents were. I have quite a bit of information about him, but can find nothing about his birth, other than calculating it from his tombstone in Marshall County, Iowa.
Do you know anything about him? I see you make reference to Lloyd Gilchrist in William's memorial. Any help there?
Thank you for any information you share.

Hi there! No worries and glad I was able to help. :)

I am going to attempt to send you the remaining Nygaard family members memorials for you to transfer.
Again, I so much appreciate the work you do. I graduated from Nevis High School, and both my great-grandparents homesteaded the Nevis area.
