RE: Calvin Atwood
You're welcome. He is entombed in the mausoleum. The photo isn't the greatest because he is in the top row about 12 feet from the ground. I wish they had a ladder :)

RE: Betty Jaynes
You are welcome. I remember Betty Faith from Newton County High School and what a great basketball player she was. Her grandmother was my mother's brother's wife's sister. Now that was a mouthful!

Fannie B Dorsey
I checked the Monroe-Walton Library and found the Obit for Fannie Elizabeth Burson Dorsey. It listed all of the children of Pinkie & Fannie as being present at her funeral, except for Willie Mae Alma & Henry Edgar. Williams-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. One thing of interest was that Bessie was married to a Sammons and living in St Petersburg, Florida.

Fannie B Dorsey
Could you please correct the death month from June to July. the marker states that she died in July.

Fannie was a Burson before marriage to John henry Dorsey. Her Father was James Scott Burson & mother was Marilda A Williams. They both are buried at Mt Creek. I have no death date for her Mother. No one seem to know exactly where she died if it was Walton or Gwinnett. Marilda's father was Alexander W Williams and he is buried at Bay Creek.

The Monroe-Walton Library in the Heritage Room has a copy (2 books) of all the cemeteries in Walton County if you are interested. It helps when they are not on Find A Grave. Since the records for Mt Creek Baptist Church burned up when lightening struck the Church.

RE: Annie B. Giles
Jamie, you are very welcome. Billy Giles, her husband, was my mother's brother. I didn't know Ann very well but met her several times.

Take care,
Linda L Mahan
