|August Martens||Thomas Riley Sweeden|
I went to the Juniper Grove Cemetery this weekend to visit the grave of my grandfather, Thomas Riley Sweeden. I have submitted the photograph his date of birth and date of death visible. He is buried next to his mother, Clara Sweeden. Unfortunately, her tombstone has fallen over. It does not appear to be damaged. I will return soon to "upright" the headstone and raise the "sinking" portion of the base. His brother, Charles H. Sweeden (who also served in WWI) is buried on the left side of their mother.

Additionally, Thomas Riley Sweeden's wife, Clara Sweeden (1868-1942), and his brother, Charles H. Sweeden (1896-1932), are buried in the same cemetery. Another brother of Thomas's (Louis R. Sweeden 1902-1977) is buried about 10 miles away in the Oak Hill Cemetery. I am going there also and will report all I can glean.Thanks.

Thomas R Sweeden is my great grandfather (my mother, Carol Ann Sweeden Martens, his son's only daughter). I just found out that my weekend home is about 10 miles from the cemetery. I am going there this weekend, and will be happy to post any additional information I can gather. My understanding (so far) is that he was born on Nov. 2, 1854.
I would contact the church or find someone who lives near there and see if they can locate stone. It is my photo, but for some unknown I did not uncover dates -- unusual for me unless there is ivy/ants.

Hi Kaye, it's been a long time. I believe that Nancy M. Voiles was more then likely born in Decatur Co., Indiana. I also think that Anna died in Decatur Co., and taken back to Switzerland Co., for burial. In 1830 George and Anna are living in Decatur Co. and that is why he remarried in Decatur Co. Let me know your thoughts.

So sorry it took me so long to get back to you regarding your note (copied/pasted below for your reference). I have been offline for quite a while.
I'm afraid I am not related to the Andersons in Arwine Cemetery so I have no further information for you. If you are a relative and would like me to transfer these memorials to you just let me know...and list the ones you would like.
Good luck in your search.
I am trying to find the death date for Jack D Anderson's brother, Bill Anderson. I don't know if you are related, but I found your information for Ruth and Jack D Anderson in Arwine Cemetery. If you have any information that could help me to find the death date for Bill I would greatly appreciate it.
If you would contact me at my email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
