|Sherry Sowell-Carter||RE: Surnames LEWIS and OWEN|
Thanks for your information regarding Mary Lillian Owen (Barber) as I wasn't aware that Nellie Anna Lewis and James Alex Owen had a daughter named Mary Lillian. You and I are cousins several times removed - Mary Lillian Owen would have been my mother's first cousin. My mom was Frankie Lewis (Sowell), a daughter of Charles Milton Lewis (one of Nellie Anna's younger brothers) and Lula Jones of Livingston County, KY.
I have created a Lewis family tree beginning with Andrew Lewis (immigrant from Bleikinge County in Sweden) and his wife, Samantha Anna Richardson.
Can you please provide Mary Lillian's dob, date married, name of spouse, where they lived, death date, cemetery where buried.
In addition to Mary Lillian, I show Edman L. Owen, Dena Owen, and Susie Owen as their children. Are you aware of any other children and, if so, do you have information on them (dob, date married, name of spouse, where they lived, death date, cemetery where buried)?
Do you have any old pictures of Nellie Anna and her children that you would share (copies, of course)?
Nellie Anna was my great-aunt but, of course, she died many years before I was born.
It's so nice to hear from a cousin!

|Sherry Sowell-Carter||Surnames LEWIS and OWEN|
I am related to Andrew Lewis (son of a Swedish immigrant) and Samantha Anna Richardson who are buried at Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers, KY (they were my great grandparents). One of their daughter's was named Nellie Anna Lewis Owen. You list Lewis and Owen as family surnames on your mother's side. Are Andrew, Samantha, and Nellie any relation to you?
Thank you for allowing us to LINK these people together, it is very helpful in our work, and to clarify these families for other interested researchers.

Thank you very much, the others in Liberty would be greatly appreciated, but only if you are comfortable in transferring. We spent much of our time in Maplewood and Pleasant Hill on our last visit and did not get to this cemetery. We will post that request at each memorial since that might make it easier for you.

Thank you so much for the photo of this headstone. I was reading through some of his letters to my aunt and of his obit, and thought it would be wonderful to have a picture.

Jennie Sherwood Coleman d. December 1934, buried in the Hayes-Hough Cemetery and among the many memorials you have contributed to Find-A-Grave was my Great Grand Aunt. Her father, George Sherwood, was my Great-Great Grandfather.
I also have Lewis and Edwards family lines (all from Kentucky at one time or another) in my family tree.
I am a somewhat avid, though amateur genealogist and wonder if you would visit:
www.WikiTree.com (entirely free) and at least look around at my family tree to see if there are cousin connections that you might have information on...
You can click on anything that is green there.
