RE: Ransom Bowers
Thank you for the update.
I have added information to Ransom's memorial, but is difficult to read the posted obit.
Would you take another look at his memorial and verify the info, especially the Civil War data.

I also linked him to Emma.

Thanks, Larry

RE: William A. Bell
JoAnne, Thanks so much for sharing the information on William Bell with me. I love hearing the stories of Civil War soldiers - even if they have sad endings like William's. My middle name (Alcott) is in honor of my Great-Great Grandfather who was killed in the Civil War, at the second battle of Bull Run. I am honored that my parents gave me his name.

I will be visiting William's stone now, and leaving him flowers. ~Ann

P.S. The town next to me is Montpelier. Thought that was interesting when you referred to your location in Iowa as Mount Pelier.

RE: William A. Bell
JoAnne,

You are more than welcome for the photo of William A. Bell. There was nothing on the back of the stone - or I would have photographed that as well. The stone was in good shape - did you notice the Civil War Marker to the right of his stone? I didn't want to crop that out.

I wonder how William ended up here in the NW corner of Ohio.
