I asked because I am also related. He is a 3 great grand uncle. That's amazing that your husband is a first cousin to him since he lived 1829 - 1905, but I know generations get skewed many times!

I notice you are taking photos of many Bishop and Orser gravestones in Canada. I'm really excited to see them! Do you have a tree on ancestry.com? Many lines on my fathers side go back to Canada, and I haven't had time to do much research on them yet.
