Thank you for sharing your information using the edit tab/SAC.
I added the information regarding the photo, dated the update and gave credit to you.
I was a very dear and close friend of Bill Boggess. I noticed you and he had some earlier contact. He passed away last March.
Kind regards,
Nancy

Thanks Joe for sponsering Alex, who is my 3rd g,grandfather.

Hope all is well in Wichita and I keep bumping into your sister's work.

Are you aware Find A Grave has been bought out by Ancestry.com, but will remain free and under Jim Tipton.

It is true. Here is a link to the information on Find A Grave http://www.findagrave.com/ancestryFAQs.html
Ancestry put out a press release here: http://ir.ancestry.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=793947

As it states, Find A Grave will remain free. That was one of the things Jim insisted on, and Ancestry's CEO agreed was important. The other is that the photos continue to follow copyright law and the ownership remains with person who posted the photo (unlike Billiongraves.com or Facebook).
Basically, Find A Grave will keep plugging along as it has, Jim at the helm and the administrators (including me) answering emails and merging cemeteries, etc. The main difference is that Ancestry will be adding more technical support/programmers so that some of the improvements Jim has wanted to do for several years can be implemented (like a mobile app so people can take photos at the cemetery on their phone or IPad and upload them directly to the site). These last few years have been very difficult, because of the constant attacks by hackers and keeping the database from crashing at all hours of the day and night. Jim was getting pretty burned out by the negative aspects of running the site, so it's really reassuring to see him excited about improving the site, again!

RE: Hume cemetery - Harvey K. Wood
Nice hearing from you Joe. Your sister Jan has been in touch last year and has been active also. I see you too left a flower on Harvey's page.Should you want any of your line give me the name and your contributor number.

Things are great down here, the VA has furnished me a power scooter to get around at our large campus and I use it a lot. Stop by if you are ever in the area www.shellpoint.org.
