In my Dumire research I found the following information in: "They Rest Quietly" cemetery records of Tucker County West Virginia by Odee Chapman--- Cemetery known as Dumire located North east of St George,on Route 5 to intersection 5/1 to property of Walter Pifer, 1975. East side of road. Four marked and 7 or more unmarked.
As listed in this book, your unreadable Dumire stone was John D Dumire born 26 Oct 1881 died 9 Mar 1883, son of Henry W and Mary E (Harsh)Dumire.
In the "Dumire's of West Virginia" by Dolores Becker Lyles it is believed that Rhinehart(1765-1831) and his wife Louisa Dumire are buried at the Dumire(Pifer) cemetery. They owned 110 acres close by at the head of Minears Run.
Thank you for listing the graveyard and graves.
Jerry Nine, Grandson of Alda Dumire Nine
Thanks for adding this cemetery.
