Pleasant Grove Cemetery
You have a photo request in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery that I have claimed. I have photos of what I believe is the entire cemetery, unless somehow I missed one or two. It is about 4000 photos so if my claim expires do not worry. I will try to transcribe all of them. A few are very old and very hard to read even in person but I'll do my best. Hopefully among the 4000 is the your photo request. I am sorry if I missed taking a picture of yours or if yours is one of the ones I can't read at all.

William Kurth
According to the Walnut Hill Burial Book, William is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery across the street from Cedar Lawn. He is buried beside Virginia Kurth (d. 21 June 1993) in Westlawn section, lot 687, grave 1 (William) and Westlawn section, lot 687, grave 2 (Virginia). Richard W. Kurth (d. 20 January 1962) is buried in Cedar Lawn in Evergreen section, lot 055, grave 8 if you are looking for more Kurth graves and there are three Kurth memorials in Walnut Hill.

RE: Phebe Conkin -
There is an H.D. Conklin in Rome Cemetery born 1826. Died 1878. The time of birth and death makes sense. Bradford Co. PA, which I have read (in census) he lived in Bradford Co.for a time. Could be Henry.

RE: Henry Conklin
Oh, and I am wrong about Indian Mound. The birth date doesn't match up. If Abner was born in 1856, then Henry had to have been somewhere around 1820s 1830s. I believe I wrote down 1820s ish.

RE: Henry Conklin
I used to have all of this written down. I am unsure of his wife's name. The only thing I know is that he either died in NY or Pennsylvania. I want to say Lackawanna CO. either as a place of birth or death. this family has been in the southern NY and PA regions for many generation. Its very possible Henry and Abner are buried in the same place. And I assume Henry's wife would be too. If I get back on I can find out her name. I have an inactive account.

Aden Conklin
Great obituary and family information on Aden and Abner. I am greatly interested in finding information on Abner's father Henry, and great grandfather Leonard. I am a direct relative of Aden his son Richard Aden...and so forth. I have hit some road blocks in finding anything prior to Leonard Conklin. I also believe Henry is buried at Indian Mound Cemetery in Cayuga County. Any further information is greatly appreciated. But overall I'm impressed and thankful for your postings regarding this family.
