|I have been interested in Genealogy for most of my life.|
My father's family is the Andrew Auman Family of Randoph County North Carolina, which is in the Seventh Edition of Print. My Father instilled in his children the Love of Famliy.
My Mother knew little of her family so shortly after her death in 1999, I started searching for her Ancestor's. Her Family is Garrett's from Jefferson county, Tennessee. With a lot of interest and help from her family we have been very lucky in putting together in some cases twelve to thirteen generations. Wow, would she be proud.
Now, I spend most of my time finding family of my husband. I get a lot of help from my wonderful
neice Cheryl. Together we are having a lot of fun. I live in Orange County, Florida and I try to make a trip north at least once a year.
I just started putting my info into Find A Grave, so I have a long way to go. Yes, I am on a mission. Having lots of FUN. Elaine

Hello, Elaine. Thank you for the information you have contributed for this cemetery. Please note that, while the cemetery is located on the campus of Carson-Newman University, it is actually the property of nearby First Baptist Church and is known as Mossy Creek Baptist Cemetery. A sign was recently erected; I will try to add a pic.

Thank you for the memorial on Margaret Smith in the Smith Cemetery in Jefferson Co., TN. I haven't found that she is related to my Smith Ancestors; however, it is greatly appreciated your contribution for the Smith Family and our ancestors.

You are quite welcome. I enjoy genealogy and anything I can do to help others is so gratifying.
|BKR||New Market Cemetery|
Hello Elaine: Just a head's up - there is a pre-existing cemetery listing for the New Market cemetery in Jefferson County titled "New Market" only. There are 711 entries so far. I thought you'd like to know this.

Elaine, you have a duplicate entry for Mr. Ault. Please delete one of them. Thanks
|B Long||RE: Wooten|
What needs to be done is for you to go to Find A Grave's "Frequently Ask Questions" located under "questions and answers" on their Home Page. When you get to the FAQs page scroll down to "Cemeteries" and look in the listed topics, to find instructions on what to do to get Wooten Cemetery and Friends Station Cemetery combined and the name Wooten Cemetery eliminated. I think that only Find A Grave administrators can get this done. From your research it sounds like the official name should not be the Wooten Cemetery. Find A Grave can merge the cemeteries together, using listings and photos from both cemeteries and eliminating any duplicates. I appreciate you taking the time to strighten this problem out, I know it has been a lot of work on your part.
