Dear Kate,
My name Is Kimberly Rowe and I live in Ca. I recently purchased a Cameo Locket at an Antique store and had it further looked at.
On the back was inscribed"James Ord,1819 AD Port Master NY NY. This Cameo is oblong in shape with 8 points top to bottom.It is quite ornate as far as the design on it. Looks like the design of the period for the Monarchy.
I did further research on this person and it may come from your family.
It does have 2 photos inside of a couple of that era.
Is there any way that you could please help me uncover this mystery?
