|C Smith||RE: Cruickshank|
HI Marilyn, you are quite welcome. Both of my parents, my older brother and my grandparents are buried in Greenfield, so we are there a lot...unfortunately. We will be happy to take pictures of others if you know what section and hopefully the plot numbers are. There is a very nasty person in the office who has an attitude if we ask her to look up too many names. I usually have a bunch of my own to look up.

You are so very welcome. I added a bunch of other names that were in the same plot. Hope they are other people you can use, there are a lot of them.

|C Smith||Peter Cruickshank Photo Request|
I fulfilled your photo request and in the same grave there were a number of other Cruickshank headstones. I will create memorials and/or upload photos for them.

I received an e-mail a couple of days ago re the flowers. I leave flowers whenever I visit a memorial. I'm not related and have no clue why I was at the Mullencamp memorial in Pennsylvania, but they are not related to me.
Thanks for the offer.

I spoke to the cemetery superintendant yesterday afternoon. Northampton has no record of burials in any of its cemeteries before 1950. When they started to run out of storage space, a prior supervisor threw out all the index cards prior to 1950. The mausoleum has been concreted up to prevent vandalism. He says the last time he was in it, it was in REALLY GOOD shape, and they check around it on a regular basis to make sure there are no burrow holes on the outside and the stonework doesn't need repointing. He found records for two interments - Sarah Leavitt Parsons, who died 11 Apr 1930 and Mary Dillworth Parson, who died sometime in 1952 (the card was saved by the 1952 burial). No one is allowed down there and he says there are too many trees to even try for a photo of the outside.

You mean the "haunted" mausoleum down in the dell is in your family. NEAT!!! The path down to it is now chained off and is pretty overgrown. I think the cemetery staff got sick of people going down there, so if you don't know where to look, you wouldn't know where the access road is.
I will watch for the other family members and let you know if I find them.

I'm slowly working my way through Spring Grove. Is there anyone else that needs a memorial or a photo? Spring Grove has tons of trees which is why it is my favorite cemetery but it does make taking pictures challenging. I'll be happy to track down the ones you want and will let you know if the leaves need to fall before I can get the photo.

Thank you for your note. I still need to do the other side of the marker - says PARSONS. Unfortunately, I have to wait for the leaves to fall to see if it gets any more sunshine.
Would you like me to transfer the memorial to you?
