|For the past twenty plus years I have been working on my family history. Things are so much easier now to research from the comfort of my own home with all the information available online.|
I love to walk through the old cemeteries. I only wish they could tell their stories a little "louder".
Now I have a place to deposit all the information I have acquired over the years. It will take a while to get it all up here. I look forward to meeting others who are researching the same lines.
Family names I am researching are:
Merrill, Hall, Bailey, Hayes, Anderson, Batten
Samuelson, Larson, Holcomb, Bancroft
Erdenberger, Stanhope, Owen, Lockwood, Bender, Bickel, Wise
Rothe, Kerr, McCoy, Zeits, Wolf, Armstrong, Harbison, Sagerson
Gillespie, Geiger, Roll
I welcome all inquiries or will share information from my files.
I picked up this quote at the Ashtabula OH County library in Geneva:
THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe.

I went and took pics of Emma's grave today and added them to her page. I linked her husband to his parent's and added pics to all of their pages as well.

Sue - Thank you for the connections which I have added for Thelma. I appreciate the info and will continue trying to connect families as long as I can. Phyllis

Sue, we've corresponded before...his first wife's sister was my great-grandmother. I found an old photo of him, but haven't found much more info.

I love the quote you added to your profile page. I suppose I couldn't do all the research and posting online if I didn't feel that my ancestors approved — at least, I hope they do!
Nice chatting with you about the Daughertys in Oakland Cemetery. They're quite close to my Esteses.

I was up in Poncha Springs today and noticed your request. Glad I was able to find the grave. This was a neat little mountain cemetery with some beautiful views.
|Anna||RE: Merrill and Orkies|
So glad I could fulfill those requests for you.
I love this website!!

Don't know if you have visited the Roll international website, but there is a lot of information on the Roll lines. I am a Roll from Ohio, with ties to the Brosier line to John and Anna M. Brosier(the parents of Julia Ann Brosier m. David Roll). If you have any information on Julia's mother Anna I would love to hear from you. Elizabeth
