Sorry Michael, have tried and tried to call Davida, she does not return messages. I even wrote her a letter asking her to get in touch. No response.

Maybe you can try.

FAG Memorial# 65254805
Michael -

I noticed the questions someone posted on Find A Grave Memorial# 65254805. The answer is Mary Letitia Robinson is the 1st wife of Sam Nix (m. 24 Sep 1845 in East Feliciana Parish, LA) and she probably died in 1847 as the records referred to indicate. Mary Letitia is in the 1850 census as wife of Sam Nix.

On 15 Nov 1848 Sam Nix married Mary Louisa Talbert in Amite County. "Louisa" is enumerated in the 1860 census as wife of Sam Nix.

Both wives had initials "M.L." and could easily be confused.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for making the updates to my cousin's memorial. I erred in leaving out her middle name. It is Nora after her mother's much-loved mother who died unexpectedly when she was only age 42. I'm sorry I didn't think to include it at the time of the original SAC. Wishing you well in the new year. ~Maureen

Gray Families
I have tried to contact Davida - can get no response from her. Just got back from Pennsylvania doing some cemetery walking. Have not been on the Gray line for awhile.

Will be anxious to see pictures.

RE: Mark Bynum #27589014
No one seems to know where Mark and Elizabeth were buried. If there were a marker anywhere, I think it would have been found by now.

There are two possibilities I can think of:
1. The Bynum Family Cemetery in Ellisville. It is said there are a number of unmarked gaves there plus unreadable markers.
2. The area in Jasper County where they were living in 1880. Their daughter Cinthia is listed just under them on the census page.

If you want to e-mail to me - I can try and put them in.

Not having any luck on the two that you wanted from me. I will save the names just in case.

Michael - I have been trying to put all the pictures; death; etc that I have on findagrave for all to see and use - give me some names and I will see if I have anything else.

Do you still have my e-mail address?

And of course you can not pay for them.

Michael - since you are the owner, there should be a (edit) next to the burial. You just click on the edit and follow the directions.

On another subject, I can't get Davida to answer any e-mails or phone calls on the Gray's. Will continue to try and reach her.

Your ANDERS in Amite, M
Michael, your ANDERS buried in Amite, MS naming back to Adam Hunsuccor ANDERS 1776 NC, is a line of ANDERS obviously connected to my Adam ANDREWS and wife Peggy in same NC location. Mine left a 1792 will naming children (I have transcription) including a Conrad, as well as a Michael (my gggg) who married Mary "Polly" LATHEM, went to GA and 1797 had a son Michael (my ggg) L / LATHEM ANDREWS who married Parthenia PULLIN b abt 1805 G.

One daughter of my Adam (a Barbara / Barbary married a GARNER) went to Alabama. My line from son Michael went to GA and then his son Michael & wife Parthenia went to eastern Arkansas 1856. On that line, a son William (brother to my gg Parthenia b 1835 Wilkes GA) William was married in GA to Mary Ann Frances GILL and they came along with his parents and his siblings. They made Wheatley, St Francis Co their home, but for a # of years after 1880 to 1900, they went to TX and I found them in Lamar County TX, but they returned to Wheatley.

Wm and Maryann had a son William Jeptha (mar an Elliott) who had a son William Jeptha Jr who married in Little Rock, AR and married a Lora ANDERS from MS. She turns out to be daughter of John H. ANDERS and wife India ALDRIDGE, and he's a son of Josiah L. ANDERS...and so on back I've found them.

Furthermore, I have mtDNA tested my mother (Parthenia ANDREWS HOUSE HOLMAN COOPER is her great grandmother) and did the cousin matching Famiy Finder test (through FTDNA) ..and I tested my brother her son..and I tested my 2nd cousin Leroy McLAIN, a 1st cousin to mother. Leroy was born to Leroy MrLAIN Sr, son of Wm David McLAIN and Clara COOPER..b 1878 Monroe Co AR..dtr of Dillard L COOPER b 1838 Spartanburg SC and Parthenia ANDREWS HOUSE HOLMAN COOPER.

You will find my ggg Michael L. ANDREWS & wife Parthenia (Barthena) household 1850 in Lincoln GA with a George M. HOUSE overseer in the household. Parthenia the daughter married George 1851 and they came also to St Francis / Monroe Co AR (near Woodruff Co where all 3 counties come together is where they generally were living. Three ANDREWS dtrs married MUNS / MUNN brothers abt 1860 timeframe in AR.

I now have a DNA cousin match to a woman with YOUR line of ANDERS from Adam H 1876 and line that went to Mississippi. The only connection I have not made with full proof it is the connection to my Adam ANDREWS in NC who left the 1792 will. Names repeat...Conrad and Michael for instance..

See my public Ancestry tree titled STANALAND and WILLIAMS (WILMS) ROOTS or contact me please at
Many thanks!
