I'm a retired Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager of a large bank in the state of Indiana. I have two daughters, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. I have been doing genealogical research since the late '70s. I'm a member of Ancestry.com and do research almost everyday. I also key information for Ancestry's World Archive Project.
By finding the burial places of our ancestors keeps their memories alive and they are never forgotten!
I feel a death should be recorded. A life, a human life, is bracketed by a pair of events; one's birth and one's death. The dates of those events belong to a person as much as their name, as much as the experiences that happen in between. | |

 | Jordan descendant Hi Dee Jordan,
Thought I would give you the Mem#s for John's parents:
Mark Jordan # 5394460 Eve Ann Blum Jordan # 109799399 (I recently created this page for McClure Cem.)
I kind of assume you are somehow connected to this Jordan line. I'm a Jordan double descendant 1)through John Jordan and Eve Lawyer and... 2) through John's sister, Mary Martha Jordan and her 2nd husband, James Monroe Taylor. 1st husband David Beams.
Regards, Neal Gardner | | | Graver Gal
 | RE: Elizabeth (Mrs W H Carlisle) Yeah, that is my assumption too. I believe her maiden name to be Sherrard or something close. John W Carlisle is buried beside them and his tombstone says "brother". I believe he is their son whose death certificate reads William John and that he is buried at Oak Grove, but the stone is in Calvary. Anyway, I transferred them as I'm sure they are your family and I am not related. | | | Graver Gal
 | RE: Elizabeth (Mrs W H Carlisle) What I wrote in my e-mail was that I found a death certificate for an Elizabeth born Nov. 25, 1872 in Charleston, MO died Oct. 30, 1918 in St. Louis, but states she was a resident of Charleston, daughter of Wm H Carlisle. She was the daughter of John Sheardrard from KY and Elizabeth Halter born KY. She died of bronchial pneumonia and was buried at Charleston, MO.
I found a William Henry Carlisle, (listed as William Harry in the death index) born (first says unknown then 1858 is written in), age listed about 60. Born in KY. He died Nov. 30, 1918 at St. Louis, MO, but also states that he is a resident of Charleston. He also died of bronchial pneumonia and was buried at Charleston, MO. He is the son of William Carlisle of KY and Unknown of KY. He was the husband of Elizabeth Carlisle.
Is this is the same John W Carlisle who is buried at Calvary? Wm John Carlisle born Aug. (D't K) 1897 age of 21 yrs 2 mo. born Mississippi Co. died Nov. 5, 1918 in Mississippi Co. Son of Wm Carlisle of Colesburg, KY and Elizabeth Sherrard of Colesburg, KY. Also died of bronchial pneumonia and the death certificate states he is buried at Oak Grove. | | | Ellen Headington

 | RE: Carlisles Okay, I added that. You know that I will transfer all your Carlisles to you. Just send a list. Did you get my e-mail to you about the Carlisles you were asking about? | | | Graver Gal
 | RE: Elizabeth (Mrs W H Carlisle) I added more Carlisles yesterday. Maybe some of them are in your family. :>) | | | Graver Gal
 | Elizabeth (Mrs W H Carlisle) At Calvary Cemetery, Charleston, MO. I added a photo and you can add her birthdate now. Her husband William H born 1864 died 1918 is buried beside her. Do you want to add him? I'll add the photos. There is also a John W Carlisle born 1898 died 1918 buried beside these two. Add him too if you want and I again will add a photo. I will be adding about seven more Carlisles buried in other places thru out this same east section. Stay tuned. Be about a week or so. I took 321 photos at Calvary. :>)

 | Isabella Saltsgiver I was wondering if you still have Isabella's picture as I was not able to read the dates on the one you posted. West Union Cemetery is where Isabella and David are buried.

 | RE: Ruby Knight Winters SURE, Dee!
I would be happy to do that! Do you know where Afton's memorial is? He passed away in Anna, Illinois, but I don't know which cemetery.
THANK YOU for sharing!
Pearle Winters was one of my dearest friends. The first letter I ever got from her was like reading my own letter. I'm glad she lived so long, but we have all eternity together to look forward to, 'cause, as the song goes, "Heaven's Gonna Be A BLAST!" (especially with Pearle there!)
BTW, my mother started to make my middle name "Dee" after my grandmother, Alta Dee, but decided Donna Dee was a little much (back in 1944), so she gave me her middle name instead. I should Google that and see if there are any other Donna Dee's.
THE LORD BLESS YOU & KEEP YOU!

 | RE: Orville Winters Dee,
I should have asked if he was family to you. Nice to meet you! Thank you for making the family links between them on findagrave.
GOD BLESS YOU!
