 | RE: RE:ALBERT LINK You're welcome, I'm glad I could help. You may use the photo however you would like. I just wanted to mention since you had Albert and Minnie listed for the same Lot and grave number......Albert's is the only marker there. I saw nothing for Minnie. | | | Emily

 | RE: Info about John David Evans Barbara,
Don't think so. I will have to go through my keepsakes of obits. I remember it being just a small caption of his death. At the time of his death the two funerals home in Union were Holcombe's and Brown Bolton Jolly. I know them very well at Holcombe's I will check with them.
It may be possible he is buried in Cook's Cemetery, as that is where some other of my "Evans" family is buried. As Florence and Darlington are relatively close. Will It be asking too much for you to check at Cook's Cemetery? It would be very much appreciated.
Thank you, EmilyAdded by Emily on May 07, 2013 4:43 PM | | | Emily
 | RE: Info about John David Evans Barbara,
He always went by the name "Dave". John David Evans and Susie Mae Coker were married at Heath Springs, October 5, 1921. They were my Mother's parents (Agnes Elizabeth Evans McGlocklin Griffith). My Mother's 1st husband Preston McGlocklin was killed in service. She remarried to George Robert William "Bill" Griffith.

 | Info about John David Evans Barbara,
John David "Dave" Evans was my grandfather. Have his Obit and it has burial in Darlington. I remember going to his funeral when I was young and it was in Darlington. His brother Robert and sister-in-law Alma buried at Grove Hill. Dave and Robert were very close. Since Robert was buried at Grove Hill that's where I thought "Dave" would be buried. His wife, my grandmother, Susie Coker Evans is buried in Union, SC.
I attended a family funeral last year and walked some of the cemetery. I thought maybe he made not have a marker and if this was the case, I was going to purchase a marker for him.
Appreciate your time checking.
