My first experience with family genealogy was 1978, shortly after my paternal grandfather died. After exploring my family as far as I could and no real knowledge of how to research my family I put it aside for another 8 or 9 years. When Jim and I married in 1986 we began a discussion about genealogy and found we were both very interested in it. By then more and more people were exploring their roots. I'm not sure how we discovered the many wonders the Fort Worth Public Library and Regional National Archives had to offer, but once we did there was no stopping us. Only 30 miles away we made a trip to one of them every weekend for many years. Now we do our research in the comfort of our home, spending many, many hours combing the internet for clues to those elusive ancestors. We have always loved old cemeteries, at one time spent countless hours helping clean the local abandoned cemeteries. We don't do that now that our cemeteries are perpetually cared for by the Johnson County Cemetery Association. During that time my husband and I researched and ordered about 32 CSA tombstones from the government for Balch Cemetery. There are more that have not been added, so let me know if you find one in the cemetery.|

Can you please tell me how you knew my father?
|William Gorman||Maurine Campbell McCall|
Thank you for creating Find A Grave Memorials for Maurine and her husband, Richard Culberson McCall. Richard was my wife's uncle whom she loved very much. Maurine died 3 years after my wife and I were married and we attended her funeral service and burial in Alvarado where I was able to meet many of the McCall uncles, aunts and cousins for the first time. This is just a note to give you a heads up on the inscription error on Maurine's memorial # 117949972 which reads; "w/o of Richardson Bersen McCall". This should read: "w/o Richard Culberson McCall". I will be submitting this thru the Find A Grave Edit process.
Thank you again.

Just posted a photo of the marker for Mary Ann Hector Cook at Greenwood, Ft. Worth, TX, Tarrant Co. On her site it said the office had said it was unmarked. You may want to remove that now since the marker has been posted.
|Diane Baxter Williamson||M.G. Floyd|
Could you please link M.G. Floyd # 111809442 (at Glenwood) with his parents Preston R. Floyd # 49665226 and Mary Leona Anderson Floyd # 33975887.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my husband Michael on his second birthday in Heaven. It means more than I can say. *Hugs* ~ Sue

|Angie||RE: Duplicate Listing|
Thank you for the nice note on my wall. I know that yours was not on purpose. When I am not troll cemeteries, I pick cemeteries that are rather large, and scroll through and update memorials based on photos; ie: the names were keyed from an old list, than someone like me walked the cemetery and added the photos. Than someone else walked the area, and they make another memorial, without even bothering to check on findagrave. I hate being attack on my wall, so, I left my two cents :)

|Sandra Creamer||Emily Grantham Wilson|
Memorial # 89526314
She is my grandmother and I maintain the one for my grandfather John Clarace Wilson. I was just visiting the grave sights and took my own photos and noticed that on the find a grave memorials the year they were married is wrong. The marriaged date is actually 8 Sept 1929 and not 1920.
