My name is Joshua Levi Bethany, and I joined this site to share my family history and meet other genealogists. I am currently working solely on the Bethany and Darter line of my family. I am related through Charles Homer Bethany, Levi Pinkney Bethany, William Marion Bethany, and Norbin Lee Bethany. If their is anything I can do to help ya let me know. I will do my best.

| RE: Thank you!! You are most welcome. I went armed with a list of 10 names and found only 5 corresponding sites. I guess that is better than finding 0, right? Have a great weekend. JoAnnieAdded by Joannie on Sep 03, 2010 1:54 PM | | | Dan McGuire
| RE: about the bethany's One other point. I posted all I found to findagrave. If you find any errors, let me know.
Even more importantly, if you desire ownership of these memorials, let me know. In the long run, it is better for you to have control than me. | | | Dan McGuire
| RE: about the bethany's The Bethany's are in three different groups plus the one single "four infant" marker. They are in the same general area. For future reference, that general area is centered East/West on the North side. That is where most of the older graves are located.
I did not find WM Bethany's grave or Levi Pinckey Bethany's grave. There are a number of stones which have worn down to the point where they are unreadable and it is entirely possible that they are in one of those graves.
Sand Hill is about forty miles away. We pass by every other week or so. Sometimes you can go back and find a grave which was previously missed because of different light conditions. In addition, Sharon was not with me. Sometimes she is able to pick out something I missed. We will try to make it back at a later date. | | | Dan McGuire
| RE: Could you help us out? More Information. Take a look at this link. http://files.usgwarchives.org/ar/newton/cemeteries/sandhill.txt.
It lists some Bethanys at Sandhill. (The name is misspelled)
It shows a Mr and Mrs Wm Bethany with no dates along with a large number of other Bethanys. I did not see a Levi. | | | Dan McGuire
| RE: Could you help us out? I am going to within about five miles of Sandhill Cemetery tomorrow. I will try to make time to take a look.
I am not sure whether you are aware of this and whether it might have something to do with the fued. The Sandhill Cemetery is sometimes called the Yarnell Cemetery, which is the name of the nearby community.
It would be helpful if you had at least approximate dates of death. It makes it easier to pick out the markers.
