Bio

I have lived in Acushnet, MA. since 1958 and have always been interested in photography and history so having a hobby that combines the two is great.

I am a 2nd generation American on both sides of my family with both sets of grandparents arriving in New Bedford, MA after 1900.
My parents, David Pimental and Norma S. Pimental, maternal grandparents, Harry #39060089 and Bertha (Baumeister) Settele #39060089, plus maternal aunts and uncles, Louis H. Settele #39060184 and his wife, Kathleen "Kay" (Higham) #39060231 and Harry Settele Jr #39059970 and his wife, Mary Anna (Josefek) #39060037, are at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford so I started adding to the entries there to aid others researching their genealogy and got hooked on photographing stones and adding to the data on Find A Grave.

Since 2012 I've been concentrating on Rural Cemetery which is also the final resting place for my paternal grandparents, Manuel Dias Pimental Jr #41299437 and Valentina (Mello) #41294992, Grand-aunt and Godmother, Amelia "Millie" (Mello) Monteiro #41294450, paternal great-grandparents, Manuel #41294221 and Rosa (Botelho) de Mello #41294307 and Grand-aunt Beatrice "Bea" (Mello) Edwards #41294366.

I'm willing to transfer memorials to relatives outside of the Find A Grave guidelines. I'm not related to most of the memorials I've created and always like to see them in the care of an interested family member.

I post most of my headstone photos to Ancestry in my Find A Grave Research tree under my Ancestry user name "trinka5364". I also post my photos to Ancestry when I find that I've photographed stones that already have photos posted in Find A Grave.

The flowers I leave on memorials are mostly cropped from shots I have taken. Some are flowers from my garden and others are from gardens I have visited while on vacation.
