RE: Documenting graves
Brigitte, Sorry I have been slow to respond since last contact. My mother has been ill and she passed away last weekend. My parents made burial plans around the area were they were born and raised so I have spend a lot of time this last week out of town.

I just wanted to let you know I did go out to the cemetery this afternoon and discovered Fairview Cemetery does have a big book that list graves in the order as who is next to who. You would really need to sit down and take some time looking at it to see who all that included in that southeast section you are referring to.

If they had a copy machine in the office I would have tried to get you a copy of the page your grandmother was on but I may need you to give me her name again. I know I could still find it.

Michael Ray Easley, Sr
Brigitte,
I made a trip to both the Forrest City Cemetery (Old) and the Forrest City Cemetery (New) today and was able to get the photo of Michael Ray Easley, Sr.'s marker. The only problem is that he is listed in the wrong cemetery. He is buried at the Forrest City Cemetery (New). Do you want me to upload the photo anyway?

RE: Maude Averyt Headstone Photo
I must be. Occasionally there are a couple of others that do pictures but not too often. I need to buy me a book of locations so I won't always have to wait on the guys to have the office open. When someone provides the location it is pretty easy.

RE: Re; I'm not quite sure what it's call :)
When I went to the Fairview "office" today the guys were all out mowing so I didn't get to talk to them. I just grab the book and look up what I need. Since someone had cleaned the office I noted there were 2 other binders. I looked at one and it seemed to have names listed as who is buried next to who. Since I was on my lunch I didn't have time to really look good so I don't have any news right now but I am off work today to attend a funeral out of time and I will try to get back out there.

I am not sure. The only thing I have seen is the map hanging on the wall in the building there at the south end. All the names are in books in alphabetical order.

I was planning to stop by there tomorrow and look up some grave locations and will ask if such a thing is available. I have not ever made it down to the library genealogy meeting to find out what is available. Will get back with you on this.

Your notes on my father's page
Hello Brigitte, I see you and your mother left a note on my Father's page. Thank you for visiting and paying your respects. I'm not sure if Claudeete is referring to having known ME or my Father. I was not living in Sikeston at age 9. At that age, I was living in St. Paul Minnesota and attending Mississippi Elementary School. So I don't believe it was me that was her one of her playmates. Nonetheless I extend an invitation for your mom and you to email me if you'd like. Perhaps we can chat over and see if there are more people that we may have a connection to.

RE: E. Malone
I will go get those today since I know where they are. There was someone buried nearby with the name Emma Wright? Could she have been remarried?

RE: E. Malone
Okay. I went to the cemetery after work and finally found the Lane and Victoria Williams, also the cement hitching post. I never found E. Malone nor the Polly Foster.

I hate to tell you but after going through the south gate to the cemetery you go about 6 blocks east and then north. The Williams graves are on the east side of the section more to the north. Maybe when Ms Malone was buried it was south - but not any more. I looked over the entire section twice with no luck. It was starting to rain so I left but will go back tomorrow and look on to the north a ways. I looked across the street to the east and didn't find Polly or Emma. Will keep trying though.
