My family is primarily from four areas: Virginia (Jordans of Isle of Wight, Walsh & Kings of Norfolk, Sellers of Norfolk & Charleston); Maryland (Bounds & King of Wicomico/Salisbury area); North Carolina (Duncans of Beaufort, Howlands of Beaufort, Jones of Halifax, Alstons of Halifax, Burtons of Halifax); and South Carolina (Sellers of Charleston). On my mother's side, I have a few family members buried in disparate locations: New York (Moores of Clinton, NY) and Loraine, IL (Simpsons; Seals; Hunsakers). I research all of these lines' branches, and I'm always happy to share research.|

|Weyman Fincher||Joshua Jones b. 1740|
I'm trying to join the SAR based on my lineage to Wylie Jones of North Carolina. I have not been able to find anything concrete documenting Joshua as his son, except on Ancestry.com. Can you provide anything definitive? Thanks very much.
Jordan - we put 2 new Hitch names on today at Forest Lawn in Richmond, Va - FYI just in case they are relatives.

Great photos! I have been doing extensive research for over 20 years on the Hitch family and others and your lines cross over mine...great Hitch pics on others. If interested, I'd like to know if you happen to have anymore photos or related info. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. My website is www.mikehitch.com. Thanks again.
|Francine Gyll||Wedding Dress|
Hello Mr Sellers,
My name is Fran. I'm a final-year costume student from Bristol, England.
For my final project at University, I am recreating a historical wedding dress. While researching the 1930s, I came across this beautiful dress:

I believe it was displayed in the Charleston museum for a time. The description said: "1938 Satin wedding dress worn by Winton Chandler of Greenville for her marriage to James N. Sellers of Charleston in 1938."
I hope I have found the right Winton Chandler! I was wondering whether you had access to any photographs of the wedding day and particularly the dress. I know it's a long shot but I would love to see it being worn, if any photos exist.
Thank you so much.
I look forward to hearing from you.
(Just to reassure you, no money would be made from my recreating this dress. It's a purely educational exercise.)
|David Lyle||1Lt Arthur R. Sellers, Jr.|
I am conducting research on all of the heroes on the Scroll of Honor Memorial at Clemson University. Arthur Raymond Sellers, Jr. is one of them. He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, but I have been wondering if he also has a marker where his father or mother are buried. I didn't realize that his father was also a Clemson graduate until today, when I found his Findagrave memorial placed by you. If you have additional information on Lt Sellers, I would like to add it to his profile on our Scroll of Honor Memorial website. By the way, do you know if his daughter is still living?
|Sarah Simpson Legg||Roberta Simpson|
I am so excited to finally find some history on the Simpson family. My name is Sarah Simpson Legg and my grandfather was Joseph Norris Simpson of Chester, South Carolina. The only information that I have ever known is that "Pop's" sister was named Roberta and my daddy was named after her and his Uncle Robert Frazer. My father recently passed away on June 5'2013 at the age of 92. He lived with me and my family in Hilton head,SC after the death of his second wife five years ago. I have sent every piece of history to my Sister in order to keep things together. I will inform her of this site and have her enter the correct and.updated information.
It is amazing to see how much Roberta and J Norris resembled each other as well as her children!
Thank you for your work and I will encourage my sister to do our part.
|Hennie Freriks||Greaton Wesley Sellers|
My name is Hennie Freriks from Stokkum in Holland. I gave all the crewmembers a face from
the crash of the Short Stirling on march 12, 1943. Mister Greaton Wesley Sellers was also in that plain.
I live a few kilometers from the grave of Greaton Wesley. His name is also on a monument in 's-Heerenberg. From the funeral of Greaton Wesley and his crewmembers in 1943 is a dvd! What was mister Sellers for a person. To what school did he went. Played he football or basketball? I want to write about the person Greaton Wesley.
Do you have a good picture from mister Greaton Wesley Sellers? In a few weeks I write two articles with the eight photographs. I have a picture from the Royal Canadian Archives and his military record. In 2002 I published several articles about the crash of the Sort Stirling. Ik hope I hear from you.

|Beth in Colorado||Dennerline's|
I've made the changes you requested on Lewis John Dennerline and his son, Carl Holton Dennerline.
I'll try to get to the Historical Society in the next couple of weeks and check for Obituaries published for Lewis, Carl, and their spouses.
|Maggie||Catherine Cox Tice|
Thank you for the information. I linked her parents and added her husband's name.
