I'm a retired college professor who is thrilled with the Find A Grave site. I will be happy to try to find graves in the Kennesaw, GA, area. I also (at least currently) spend part of the winter in the Port Charlotte, FL, area and can search cemeteries there. As a Knoxville, TN, native, I often travel to that area and may be able to search there.|
I can also take pictures in the Cobb County, Bartow County, Cherokee County, and Gordon County areas of Georgia.

I've deleted my memorial. I did not make a copy of the obit, but can do so the next time I stop by the Heritage Commission. As I remember, there were two newspaper notices stating her date and place of death, survivors and service information.
I am on vacation next week and will do the obit sometime in April.

Martha Jane Brown is listed in Bethel Cemetery per the Kingston cemetery book at the Roane County Heritage Commission (unmarked). She is not listed in Kingston Memorial Gardens. I also found her obituary and it states interment at Bethel Cemetery. If you concur with these finding, please move your memorial to Bethel Cemetery - Kingston and I will delete my memorial. Thanks.

I received your message about the memorial I created for Martha Brown in Bethel Cemetery, also known as Bethel-Kingston Cemetery. I am happy to delete my memorial once the correct burial site is determined. I see your memorial is located in Kingston Memorial Garden.
According to Martha's death certificate the burial was in Kingston Cemetery. Unfortunately, I have found many Roane County death certificates citing the incorrect burial location or citing a community rather than the actual name of the cemetery. I have the cemetery list for Roane County and do not see a Kingston Cemetery listed.
Kingston Memorial Garden is affiliated with Roane Memorial Gardens and to my knowledge the two cemeteries did not open until the 1950's or the 1960's. So I am skeptical that the original burial in 1933 was at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Do you have information on a re-interment?
I photographed all the markers at Bethel Cemetery and completed my project by creating memorials for all the unmarked grave sites in accordance with the cemetery book at the Roane County Heritage Commission. When I have a chance I will double check the book for the burial at Bethel and will also look at the list for Kingston Memorial Gardens.
In the meantime, if you would like to verify your great-grandmother's burial, please call Roane/Kingston Memorial Gardens at (865) 354-9322.
I believe they are more receptive to family members inquiring about burial information.
Looking forward to resolving this burial conflict.

Hi Carol, thanks for the great idea. I have forwarded the location information for the cemetery to the Findagrave administrator. A new experience for me as I had never done this before. Hopefully it will benefit others looking for the cemetery.

I've just transferred this father and son to you as requested. Please be sure to read what I put in about the Yager-Dysart Cemetery itself. It explains about the stones being moved.
