Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an ardent genealogist with a love of history. I want to help document everything I can for the historical record.

I will be happy to transfer memorials, with the exception of those that are for my family members or any that hold deep personal interest for me. Just drop me a note.

You have my permission to use any marker photos of your family members for your personal use. HOWEVER, that means using the marker photos I have taken for your personal use ONLY. That is not blanket permission to use any photo on Find A Grave. Please ask the other photographers for their permission. Thanks!

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

RE: Comfort Cromwell
Hey,

Thanks, I know the grave is very old. Comfort Dorsey (Cromwell) also had a daughter named Comfort Cromwell (1751-1787) the grave could be her instead of her mother but I am not sure.

Comfort Cromwell
Hello,

I noticed that there are no dates for Comfort Cromwell. Is there no headstone? I am asking because I have a Comfort Cromwell that was my GGGGGG Grandmother Born 3 July 1710 Died 12 July 1787. Her maiden name was Dorsey and she was married to Joseph Cromwell (21 August 1707- 12 Oct. 1769)

Any help solving this would be great.

Thanks

Re: Late George F. Hatch
Great to see the final resting place of an old family friend. George lived with my late great grandparents James and Flavia Davis in Colborne, Ontario.

Have you seen these letters, some of which are from George: http://www.canadianletters.ca/results.php?searchFor=colborne&x=0&y=0

I met George a few times....quite a unique gentleman.

RE: Pefley records
Thanks Jane - was concerned that a message on the memorial for Daniel Pefley stated no photos of the entrance - thanks for your reply.

Pefley records
Jane - Please allow photos of the Mountview on the records for Jennie and Daniel Pefley in the Mountview Cemetery at Billings. They are my Grandfather's niece and husband, and would like to allow photos since we live near Seattle and unable to make a personal visit. Thanks. Margaret

Find A Grave Memorial# 51049656
The above memorial is for Margaret E. Smith in Walkersville, Maryland Glade Cemetery. According to Names in Stone there is also a Michael Smith buried there in the same plot. He was born 17 Sep 1806 and died 22 July 1882. Do you know if there is a headstone for that grave? I'm trying to figure out if he was the husband of the above Margaret.

James M Shackford
Thanks for posting James' gravestone. I'm a Shackford family researcher in Flagstaff AZ and it's very helpful to see these gravestones and postings! I do believe that James had two wives - Mary C Farrell (Feb 10, 1857-Aug 5 1894) and Binnie M Hatch (Niv 1862-Nov 16, 1936). With Mary he had a son Daniel Robert Shackford (1882-1926). Daniel served in the Navy.

RE: Hatch graves in Eau Claire
Hello Jane, I added a couple of photos to Arnold Hatch. If you want me to add his obit you will have to transfer him to me, at least temporarily.
