Gracie O'Guin Thomas
Janie, I am descended from Hardy O'Guin (1775-1830) of Humphreys Co, Tennessee, by way of his son Solomon O'Guin (1807-1870). I am related in one way or another to all the O'Guins out of middle Tennessee.

Does your grandmother's death certificate list her parents as James O'Guin and Mary Pollard?

Thanks so much, Randy O'Guin

D. B. James

My sister and brother found the grave you are looking for. D. B. James who died in 1906 is buried in Avery's Chapel Cemetery near McCaskill, Arkansas. Next to his tombstone is a rock marking a grave and etched in the rock is M. W. James who died in 1872. On the back of the rock is etched (chisled) is wife of D B J. We assumed that this is his wife and my sister took pictures of both stones for you. I am going to try the e-mail listed here at find a grave to send you my personal e-mail so you can either send me an address or let me know if I have the right e-address so we can get the pictures to you.

RE: Belton, Arkansas

My brother who lives in Nashville, Arkansas was here visiting me today. I ask him if he remembered a James family around McCaskill and he said he did. There was a lady we all called Grandma James and I believe it was her son who traveled all over the United States painting murals on and in buildings. He could not remember the name of the man, but he said he knew two guys still in Nashville that would probably remember. Maybe this will ring a bell with you. He also took your grand parents' name to walk the cemeterys and see if he could find the grave. I ask him to take a picture if he did find it. I will let you know if and when there is further progress.

RE: Belton, Arkansas
I would be more than happy to. I usually go about once a year, usually in June, but I have a sister who goes more often and she would be happy to look. I am sorry about your husband. I have your information and will keep it with the Arkansas info I always carry with me. S
